Totally agree and apparently tne minors are failing too. Some of the slop we are seeing should not be happening. Duggar Otto Lowe etc are killing up over high school fundamentals.
He would play someone with Dugger's same production if the guy had once been a good player and was on the downhill slide.
Woody did not need to. Miller was a better choice.
If you want to defend Woody then OK. Duggar could be sent down and Duran could be brought up.
do i understand that the thinking on this subject is that the FO should fire Woody for playing someone that the FO signed or brought in
and woody would have to get the FO to approve the send-down and who is brought up
he is making sure that everybody on the roster is getting playing time unfortunately some of them shouldn't be on the roster much less play but he has to play them at some point.
He could have used Miller that late in the game knowing Duggar was not hitting well. I don't think he should be fired for playing players FO sent up but in my opinion he makes decisions that have cost us all season.

Exactly. He played Duggar but could have pulled him late and used Miller or even Viloria to PH based on the fact that Duggar has floundered since coming up.
Miller was the DH last night until Culberson replaced him
Don't know bc I lost tv for an hour. If he did then it made since. But we still had Viloria.
and Heim was ill and couldn't play so Viloria was the only catcher left and was needed incase they had to replace Huff, who also was sucking at the plate
