well technically we would be considered by some to be in the thick of things as we're only 4.5 games back from the last WC place which is held by Boston and Toronto is tied with them.

right. my point is that Toronto is definitely right in the middle of the hunt. The Rangers are on the outskirts at best.

Teams who can't bring a runner home from 3rd to win the game and then give up an 8 spot against the A's don't deserve to be in the Wild Card conversation.
