Ok so long term and yes a PPR league

any thoughts on who you would rather have long term

Will Gurley progress as the Rams slowly get better

or stick with Howard who certainly had a pretty stellar debut last season

i own Howard who will cost me a 9th round pick this year thus the deal will only happen after the draft

both will be what we call Full Keepers (FK) next year and can be one of 3 total that are placed into your roster before the draft without having a pick removed to keep them

to the point im considering moving Howard for Gurley to the owner who happens to be a total die hard Bears fan

yes @averagejoe a Bear fan in Montreal...

as always thoughts are very appreciated

I'd prob take Gurley, but that's a tough one.

Teams are in similar spots, rebuilding, with questionable "franchise" young QBs. Both look to be slated for workhorse roles on teams that will prob struggle to be .500, that might be generous saying .500 there, 5 wins might be tough for these two teams.

ya kinda why i posted for me its brutally tough
and just a sidebar but i received plenty of kudos for being the first to sing Howard's praises in my shouting range and thus may throw the boys for a loop if i do move him

funny thing is i may be able to even get a small upgrade in a 2 for 2 with this crazy Bear fan

I was gonna ask if you could squeeze anything else out since hes a rabid bears fan. Id def do it if the deal allowed me to upgrade another starting position

I am one of the believers that Gurley had a bad year last year because of the offensive system and OL.

Secondly Gurley was highly touted coming out while Howard wasn't.

I'd go with Gurley's pedigree over Howards 10 games. Plus, the surrounding cast and coaching staffs lean StL. as well

Upgrade in a 2-2 deal, then absolutely.

Straight up, you're better off flipping a coin. I can't say with any confidence that I would accept or offer that.

Tough choice, but I like Howard better. However if I could get a upgrade with a two for two, I'd certainly be interested.

Well, this is a tough choice because I do believe in Gurley.

But Gurley has regressed which I personally do NOT like to see in a young RB.
He went from 4.8 YPC his rookie season to 3.2 YPC. And that's playing all 16 games!

I can see the arguments regarding similarities between the Rams and Bears.
Both terrible offenses. Both rebuilding.

But IMO, all the more reason that the feature back needs to establish himself.
And Howard did it with half the Bears injured last year. Cutler, Hoyer, Jeffery, Zach Miller, Kevin White.
This doesn't even include the O-line which was being shuffled.

Hate to recommend one over the other.

I think you're forgetting that the defenses in the NFCN are worse overall. Point for Howard.

There is also the state of their offenses. Chicago lost their true #1 receiver and LA gained Sammie Watkins. That should theoretically help Gurley and hurt Howard. Point for Gurley.

This is a really tough one; I had to make this choice as well but went Gurley for homer reasons.

when is the deadline on the decision @Barilko ?
no rush
i let the draft happen
then think about the deal

if i trade now Gurley falls into (what we call Full Keeper group) and becomes my 4th FK and thus i need to give up my 1st pick

as of now Howard costs me a 9

next year they are both FK

so let the draft happen and then ill see if i try to get a winning deal..
