I really don't know why you are laughing. If Florida goes 9-2 this year and their only losses are razor thin margins against undefeated Alabama and undefeated Florida State and end up 1 and 2, what makes you think that Florida wouldn't be worthy of a top 5 ranking?

2011-2 two-loss teams
2012-2 two-loss teams
2013-3 two-loss teams

2007 ... entire top 5 was 2 loss teams, even the NC.

You guys are using the end of year numbers and my intent was towards the end of the regular season where the playoff positions will be chosen.

End of the year makes it look lots diifferent with one more loss for some higher ranked teams.

Think end of November, early December.

arkansas lost to both LSU and Alabama by 24 points in 2011 and finished at #5 in both the AP and Coaches poll.

furthermore, i didn't say that a team would lose 2, or 3 games and be ranked in the top 5 or 10. i said that a team could lose 3 games with a brutal schedule and still easily be one of the 10 best teams in the country.

do you think alabama was a top 10 team in 2010?
