Oklahoma Sooners
However many it takes to get 8 SEC teams in there.
Did I miss anything???
Did I miss anything???
Heck the corrupt playoff committee is going to start ranking 5 loss teams this week in order to not rank Utah State or Cincinnati
Ha! SU can't be one.
That's the sort of things that happens when you lose to 4 loss teams or teams that lost to 5 loss teams.
??
.
They can't be a 5 loss team in the final ap poll.
OK. Explain.
If they lose to ND and BC, they will curb stomp whoever they get in a bowl game. But I look for SU to take one of the regular season games.
Nebraska will make it in
100%. They suck ass but they got a somewhat strong overrated OOC win to make them appear valid enough as a "Quality" win.Auburn is like the town whore being passed around in the SEC for a semi-quality win. They are basically the Penn State of the SEC.
Not really. There are P5 teams ranked by the play-off committee that lost to teams with 4 or more losses.
Show me one that doesn't have multiple better wins than Cincinnati or Utah State.
I can show you a team that got INTO the CFP even though they lost to a (4-8) P5 team. Clemson
Boise's point wasn't necessarily that G5's should be highly ranked in the CFP poll, just that they should be ranked.
There are 4 loss P5 teams ranked ahead of G5's who have just one loss. One of those 4 loss P5 teams actually LOST to a G5 team. (Northwestern to Akron).
Northwestern also beat Michigan St, Iowa, Purdue and Wisconsin...and lost by 3 to #4 Michigan. When Cincinnati beats any of those teams I will start to care. Instead they beat a sad UCLA team and two G5 teams with winning records and lost to a third 6-4 G5 team. They are ranked way higher than they deserve, they are at best a paper tiger.
So Akron could beat Michigan St, Iowa, Purdue, Wisconsin, and come within 3 to #4 Michigan then right?
We can't just use the transitive theory when it suits our narrative, can we?
In order for their to be any transitive properties, Cincinnati would have to have played any of those teams. Losing to Akron to me is on a par with losing to Temple. It's not good, but what did you do with the rest of your schedule. Northwestern beat some decent teams. Cincinnati beat most garbage. Unless of course you want to make the argument that the Big 10 is on a par with the AAC...I could get behind that.
Bleh, Bleh, Bleh
A 6-4 team w/ a loss to Akron has no place in the Top 25.
I can understand why you would feel that way considering that you guys took them to overtime, but I bet Vegas would make Northwestern an 10 point favorite over Cincy....on the road.
It's too bad your opener got canceled, Akron could have used the win to get bowl eligible.
