He basically handed the Chargers the game last weekend. Had he slowed down his offense just a tad, he could have given the ball back to the Chargers with about 50 seconds left in the game instead of something like 1:49.

One thing about Philly's D is they did show signs of improvement Thursday ( even though it was against KC's offense). They were being put in bad situations all night and stepped up and held off the Chiefs. They gave Vick and co. a chance and were only really gashed at the end when the gas tank was empty. They are in a really tough spot next week in Denver, can't really give them any realistic shot, but they play 2 in the division after that and anything is possible. The Giants really aren't any good and the Boys are inconsistent. We will see if they are 1-5 or 3-3 after that. Then we can see what adjustments are made and what Philly fans really have.

3 years. Face it, he was handed a team that didn't have a defense to begin with. This defense would have been bad even if Reid hadn't been fired, so I'll give him 3 years. It should also be long enough for the NCAA to forget any wrongdoing at Oregon...

Yup. I forgot to add that but yes it is much more difficult to transition to a 3-4 coming from a 4-3 than vice versa. Dallas seems to have transitioned well going from a 3-4 and now a 4-3. Shit D Ware should be killing it.

I don't think it will come down to a firing more along the lines of Kelly thinking his game would be better suited for the college level. He's dealing with a 53 man roster, he doesn't have the depth like he had at Oregon, and that's hard. Even with a switch to the 3-4 they knew they would have to keep a 4-3 look since there still missing pieces for a 3-4.

I say after year two, if they still have issues with depth, I think he's looking at a big time college program comes knocking, I wouldn't blame them, and I wouldn't blame him, (unless this whole thing was a cover up to escape the wrath of the NCAA) cause it would only set Philly back another couple of seasons, and we already had that with Reids last two seasons...

You could also say the Chargers tried to hand him the game with 2 redzone turnovers. They were +2 against the Chargers on turnovers, and were -5 against the Chiefs, yet only lost by 10.
