Totally cause Bortles was a MVP candidate and rated the 3rd best player in the entire league by his peers just like Wentz... right?
This is why people keep kicking you while you're down.

Wince was an AMVP ONCE as well he was rated 3rd best ONCE. Now he isn't even in the same zip code.

Please stop making it sound like this is a yearly thing. Hey even a blind squirrel finds some horse shit to feast on once in a while.

Though the squirrel's chances are greatly decreased on the streets of Philthy.

I'm not sure why people are getting emotional over another teams qb decision. The Eagles are in a no win situation as far as that goes. It's an extremely convenient one that has netted them a super bowl (which most people here would kill for) and a run to the final 8 this year.

It's hard not to go with the franchise QB in light of Foles playoff success. And it's hard to ignore Wentz as injury prone and with no playoff resume.

It's a good problem to have

Since you're not sure, I suggest reading the entire thread. This is about a certain Eagles fan being so wrapped up in his love for Wentz, that he fails to give Foles his props. He's been continuously wrong about several topics in this thread. I get your point but you might be missing the big picture here.

Since you are really not sure, you might just stay out of it or go read 250 pages or so......

Again you guys are forcing me to defend a Bird Brain. But I just have to do it. Again.

Someone compared Wentz to Bortles. PE was simply pointing out how Wentz had far exceeded anything Blake Bortles had accomplished before his injury. I just think it's hilarious that you guys are writing Carson Wentz off at this point in time. Probably did the same with Andrew Luck.

i dont think its "dismissing" wentz, its that you are "dismissing" foles. again, hes been a better fit for this time.
like i said before and this is my most honest take

wentz is very good, dynamic, talented. worth a haul in a trade
Foles is very good, clutch, a much better fit for the eagles, not saying overall mroe talented, but a much better fit for this team. His team rallies for him, and his style fits the system better
Also its naive to think wentz psyche is not affected by foles success, a superbowl run, a superbowl mvp, the push to the playoffs, everyone rallying for him. I dont care who you are, your're thinking that should be me, and why couldnt i do that

Oh there are plenty of posters here who are writing off Carson Wentz, that's pretty obvious. It's also pretty stupid if you ask me.

ill agree, i think injuries, and the success of foles will definitely affect him, but he has immense talent and upside. I just dont think hes the better QB for philly. And that much has been shown.

Because its unlikely to happen, because only one team wins the superbowl.

Could u imagine the mental state watching it happen AGAIN.

A few things though:

* The burden placed on Foles by Pederson is much smaller than the one placed on Wentz. Just looking at the scheme (and listening to the statements by Foles and the coach) the Eagles DO run a simplified scheme for Foles compared to what they do for Carson.

* Foles has learned (the very hard way) to play within his limitations. Wentz has to learn this. Wentz does seem to suffer from 'hero syndrome'.

* Arguably Wentz had still not fully recovered from his ACL during the season.

* Foles has had the benefit of a number of players getting back from injury (Sproles for one), others getting out of a funck (Smallwood, Peters and Lane Johnson), and the DB's (and Schwartz) figuring things out on defense.

Foles in the first half (with the INTS) perfectly exemplified what his draw-back is.

I’m not even gonna argue all the excuse making.

But do he threw two picks-against the leagues best d. Wentz was a turnover machine. But again. Foles gets shit done. Wentz does not. The rest is just excuses. Maybe they should dumb things down for Carson.

They're just trolling the kid.
I will say, it's pretty good trolling, so there is that......
