How dumb is it to say that Manning choked?

I agree. The seahawks came to play, all of them. They didn't make any mistakes and just looked to have a bit more in every phase of the game. I wouldn't say this game was an indictment on the career of Manning.

The Manning's are funny. One brother gets more praise and recognition than a qb of his talent should, and the other has hoardes just waiting to pounce on every less than perfect outcome to "prove" how undesreving of praise he is.

Against the Bears(number 3 defense) he completed 65% of his throws for 250 yards 1 td and 1 pick.

Against the Saints he completed 69% of his throws 333 yards 1 td 1 pick

All depends on your definition of choke? In 2007 the greatest offense ever only scored 14 points, 7 of them on a late 4th quarter drive to put that team ahead, only to see the defense give it up. That QB was labeled a choker everywhere I read.

This year the new greatest offense only scores 8 with the QB having 3 turnovers including a pick 6. So if you labeled Brady a choker in 07 then you have to label Manning a choker tonight.

I just think both teams were outplayed on those nights.

55 yards of those came on a botched play where Wayne was 15 yards behind the defense. He spent the rest of the game doing dumpoffs to his RBs and he even missed some of those. He played like complete horseshit. You can cherrypick a box score all you want, but I remember that game like it was yesterday. Outside of that Wayne bomb, his WRs had 65 yards receiving total.

In other words, he didn't complete a pass over 10 yards into coverage the entire game.
