Doesn't help when the team isn't performing either.

Sure glad Denver upgraded from George Karl. Going to the playoffs every year was getting old.

Going from Karl to someone who never coached in the NBA was pretty dumb.

They have too much talent to be this terrible. Need a new coach and to move some players, they just aren't meshing well.

Nah, they only started losing when I started to root for them. FYI, I'm also a Bears fan and look what they've done in recent weeks.:gaah:

I don't think the players are the problem. I think the coach is the issue.

They had basically the same core players and won 57 games with Karl in his last year with the team.

Shaw is the issue and must be fired

They are bad, but in all seriousness, blaming it on the coaching change is pure laziness on the fans' part. The jury is still out on Shaw, but he should at least be given three seasons to prove himself as a coach.

Just about the entire roster is playing well below their capabilities. The two big issues right now are: 1) A lot of players coming back after significant time off, Gallinari being the most significant. 2) Too many guaranteed contracts, aka too much job security on this roster to the point a lot of guys are caught going through the motions.

This team could be in for a heft retooling project if they don't turn it around soon.

SF situation is downright awful. We knew it would take some time for Danilo to return to form after two ACL surgeries, but Wilson Chandler has also significantly regressed. His hamstring injury last year may have sapped his athleticism, because he's become a chucker and has quit attacking the basket.

Would like to see Shaw bench these two goons and go with more smaller lineups - Maybe unleash Gary Harris, Foye has proven that he can defend some threes (Batum last year), maybe try Afflalo there.

Would like to dump that McGee contract on the Cavs. He sucks. This team needs rim protection like fish need water. Sad thing is that McGee is our best rim protector...

Aaron Afflalo isn't playing well this year. Last year in Orlando he was scoring around 18ppg on FG% 46. This year he's around 9ppg on FG% 38.

Meanwhile that kid they swapped to Orlando is averaging over 18ppg on a FG% 51. They should have kept this young 22 year old.

Yeah, but you can't put all the blame on the coach. He takes some of it, but the players look NOTHING like that 57 win team. They need to make a few changes, because even that team had some flaws despite their record.

Fire Shaw & hire Mark Jackson.

Yeah, Denver's been terrible thus far. Also I agree they should have never fired George Karl.

Judging by their record, you must have become a Lakers last year and continued this year.

Several sources around the league insist the Nuggets' hand was forced with regard to Faried. After the signing of Hickson to a three-year, approximately $16 million contract soon after Connelly's arrival, the sense was the bouncy big man was insurance against Faried's departure in free agency in 2014. Faried was a fan favorite in Denver, but multiple sources with knowledge of the Nuggets' thinking maintain the team "isn't crazy about him," particularly Shaw. But with Faried's boffo showing last summer with Team USA and a loyal following in Denver, the media-conscious Nuggets caved, adding yet another imperfect 4-man to their lot.

"[Faried] is a helluva player and plays hard, but he isn't well liked [in the organization]," a league source said. "That gets glossed over. He says crazy s---. He thinks he's the guy, and other guys take exception to his contract."

My question is why did the fire Geoge Karl to begin with? I like Brian Shaw and I think in the right place and time he will a good coach. Every coach has to earn their stripes and make some mistakes, but Denver is a unique place and no other coach has capitalized on the high altitudes like Karl did.
