Seriously, why is Bobby Wilson playing? It's not like Gimenez has started a ton of games in a row. The stats, both individual and team, strongly support Gimenez as the everyday starter.

Holland is absolute trash right now.

I hope we can clinch soon so that they can give him one last start in a meaningless game as an audition for the playoffs. If he bombs a 5th consecutive time, I'm afraid he needs to be in the bullpen for the ALDS.

Very true. At this point, it's really a case of which one is the least terrible. Tough call.

That 4th spot might have to be a Holland/Perez/Chi-Chi combo with each having an extremely short leash.

I have faith in each of them in terms of returning to form eventually and being the really good pitchers they've always been. I'm just not sure if both can right the ship in time for the postseason. That would be a huge turnaround to expect in one week's time.

But I really hope you're right.

It's already been addressed re: day game after a night one. But if you remember back about a month ago, Banister said "you can't expect either one of these guys, Wilson/Gimenez, to be an everyday starter at this point in their careers." Something to that effect anyway.

I'd still hoping for a Gimenez/Chirinos combo for the post season.
