I'm glad he's "still" on the right team. ha

Bullshit strike call on Mazara
I never said Fielder was dangerous. My point was that he is about as dangerous as Gomez, meaning neither are. Carlos Gomez is a career .257 hitter with a career high of 24 HR in one season and 73 RBI. That was the best season he's ever had. He's been very bad for 2+ seasons now. He's every bit the sub-.200 hitter that Prince is.Fielder had a good first half last year and when was the last time he was a good hitter otherwise? wasn't 2014, probably wasn't even really 2013,
Do I think Gomez is struggling? Yes, but I'd be more afraid of him than Fielder right now
Point is I think you're oversimplifying it by lumping Gomez as your traditional, "sub .200 hitter"
Blue that isn't close
Gomez shouldn't scare anyone.
There sure were a lot of posters here who seemed to have wanted him in Arlington a few years ago.
Didn't get it then, and certainly am thrilled now JD & Co agreed with me. ha

Point is that if you're going to be careful and pitch around someone, it would be better to do that against truly dangerous hitters like Altuve and Correa. Gomez shouldn't scare anyone.
This is two games in a row where I really feel the umps have not been as kind to our guys as the Astros. And I try to not put much emphasis on that.
He is hanging way too many pitches tonight in general... mostly breaking pitches.Surprised to see Cole out there this inning, he's just at 100 but he's labored tonight
Both hits by Gonzalez were up in the zone.
