Altuve barely gets grazed and acts like he was drilled in the center of the back with a 100 MPH fastball.

Why not? Because he's a faster runner? He lacks plate discipline and has been hitting under .200 for over a year. If anything, Prince Fielder has done much more damage at the plate for a lot longer than Carlos Gomez.

What does the last sentence have to do with anything? So has Ryan Howard, doesn't mean I can't think that Gomez is a more dangerous hitter than both at this point in their careers

It speaks to their track record as hitters. Gomez had just a few good seasons. He's hitting below .200. He hasn't been a good hitter since 2014. What makes him dangerous? I just don't get that statement.

Something tells me Jurickson could excel at any position on the field.

Right. Pro did all he could.

He sure did.....But I'm gonna absolutely lose my mind if he stretches out there and rips a muscle while trying to make one of those 1st baseman-like plays.

Fielder had a good first half last year and when was the last time he was a good hitter otherwise? wasn't 2014, probably wasn't even really 2013,

Do I think Gomez is struggling? Yes, but I'd be more afraid of him than Fielder right now

Point is I think you're oversimplifying it by lumping Gomez as your traditional, "sub .200 hitter"

He's getting by, but his footwork is a mess, but that comes with practice, but the glove is aces thus far

I was talking simply flexibility, MM or Prince wouldn't have made those stretches. I will refrain from saying anything about them being injured on one of those plays and having a DL stint, cause that would just be wrong. I might have thought about it though :D
