I just hope we don't get anyone else hurt so at least we can make an honest evaluation of the guys we have left so that we can start planning for the future. It could be a very active trade deadline for us.

If things go along as they appear they are going to, I think the Rangers should entertain offers on any of their veterans, including Beltre. I think they would gladly dump the contracts of Fielder, Choo and Andrus, but Beltre is the great player and difference maker than could bring in a haul of top prospects IMO, and the Rangers have Gallo waiting in the wings.

I know I had to leave with us leading 3-1 to go up to the hospital but I knew Detwiler was going to eventually give up a HR. I am with JTA that I really thought he could help us but he is going to get it going soon. He leaves too many pitches up there for the taking.

It it just the way he is, a la Colby Lewis, or is it he just hasn't got it sorted out yet? He's good in stretches, but loses it for an inning also like Colby Lewis

Give him 10 starts and see if he figured it out... you can pitch up in the zone without leaving it over the middle like he has been

Besides, we don't have any terrific options anyway.

It's a long season, and the guys we hope will be the answer are all getting their innings in the minors, where they should be.

Doesn't 105.3 carry the games on radio? I tried to tune in, via the net, and it's regular programming.

Cant listen to games online using 105.3's webpage... can only use MLB's webpage for that.
While the game WILL be on 105.3 (radio) -- it will not be available through them on the net. Has to do with MLB rules/regs/etc.

Just gonna put it out there, the Rangers are awful. They might not get 70 wins this season. Their starting pitching is weak, their bullpen isn't much better, and their offense is putrid.

I can't say, as of today, I'm discouraged. But it sure might get scary as hell to think of what might be if Choo & Prince don't have bounce back years, and EA doesn't come outta his coma. There's others too, but these 3, all unto themselves, are scheduled to make almost $500 million, and have no trade value right now.

Don't care who's writing those checks, those are massive ones.

Prince does deserve some credit. He may not have the power stroke he once had, but he has revamped some things and he knows how to hit for average. He still won't be worth that massive contract, but I commend him for making some needed adjustments.

If any of those guys ever gets traded we will have to eat a significant portion of their salary.
