At least he can hit singles and doubles. That is a lot more than almost everyone else on the team can do on any kind of consistent basis.

My wife is a teacher and you should see the names parents come up with. The funniest was "La-a". It is pronounced la-dash-a. It is spelled with an actual dash in the name.

My dad was a photographer for 20 years. Had that exact same thing happen to him at a school he was taking pictures at once.

I just hope we don't get anyone else hurt so at least we can make an honest evaluation of the guys we have left so that we can start planning for the future. It could be a very active trade deadline for us.

Sure wish Odor could take next couple of Instructional League and Winterball and learn to be a switch hitter. Odor's focus and aggressiveness at the plate reminds me of Erick Aybar.

He's not popping singles and isn't doing any better or worse than the rest of the lineup ... but I get the feel that when things do start to turn around it will be Odor who sparks it. Maybe he's too aggressive to bat leadoff ... but Kinsler held that spot for quite awhile. He was never considered a patient hitter either.
