I understand your hesitancy to part with some of those pieces because it is a lot. But I think JD deserves some credit for keeping Gallo, Mazara, Chi Chi, and Thompson all out of the deal.

The loss of Alfaro and Williams does sting though.

Yeah I hate to lose Williams but keeping Cheech, Jake and Luis O too is huge. Got to give a little to get something. Always some risk. But seems ok to me. Getting Hamels and Yu in same staff is awesome.

Looking at his career numbers, this season seems to be the outlier, but yeah. Not exactly a windfall here.

So much info is flying around.... but I read (from somewhere) that he's a LH reliever that can hit 100mph with a nasty slider. Just kinda lacks control.

Yes, and the guys we are giving up were all about 2016-2018 as well.

Sounds like the trade is maybe not what you want. If Hamels is healthy then he will be valuable
