What can you tell me about Ben Street? (Flames signed him over the weekend) - Does he have enough game to make it to the NHL?

Street has signed a two-year (two-way) contract with the Calgary Flames.

The 25-year-old led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League in scoring last winter with 27 goals and 57 points in 71 games.

Yeah, he does. He can make it as a 6-7, though I think his ceiling is bottom pair. He's just a casualty of a very very deep farm system on D, especially now. He used to be toward the top of our D-propsects, but then Shero decided to only draft defenseman.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I just described Brian Strait. Street? Watched a few WBS games, he was a factor, but don't know much. Obviously he's at a disadvantage breaking into the Pens lineup though.

If it helps I thought Mark Striet was a really good player for the Habs.

Must be a lamp post if the Pens got rid of him.

QC is my Dallas. There, I said it!

Quebec used to be an NHL goaltending factory, but it's dried up considerably of late. They still produce a ton of skiers and short track speed skaters though.

I did not like it too much but around Christmas last year I spent one night (maybe Christmas Eve) playing NHL 12 online. Some of the opponents on the team I was playing had changed their names to "Joyeux Noël", "Meilleurs vœux!" and some other things I cannot remember and/or could not translate in my head.

I realize this post doesn't really have anything to do with the topic, but I was half lit at the time and thought it was nice. Half a year later, goodwill spread.
