...I watched that game, and to be honest, I know it was a catch and he got royally robbed...But it is ammo for trash talk though....
Funny I'm OK with the call because of the "Must maintain control throughout the catch" BS. Problem is the also have the "make a Football Move" rule. I can argue he made a football move, but he did lose control as he hie the ground. I really thought they'd un-confuse these two conflicting rules this off season but they didn't. It will happen again and again until the state when the rules should apply and or which rule can over rule the other.

He went up, caught the ball, came down with control, took a few steps with control, stretched out with control and the ground caused the ball to wobble but he regained control....
It should have been placed where the ball hit the ground IMO...
But it is left up to the refs judgement, and that is why those type of calls that are crucial in playoff games got some refs let go and new ones hired this year...
The league knows it's a flaw, but it's a refs call....
