I partly agree skinsdad. I don't think he chooses us if he hits the market, but having two 3rds which would have been a slot corner and maybe a guard, plus 28 to spend elsewhere would have made more sense to me.

I'm not ready to give up on Wentz. They gotta roll with Heinicke until the it's clear he's costing us games.

It’s not a matter of giving up on him . It’s a matter of needing to make a trade only to be able exactly where we would have been without the deal

there is no doubt in my mind Falco could have at least started out 2-4

Oh no, I've been clear from the jump that I wasn't a fan of the trade. What's done is done though. If Heinicke costs us a game, I'd have no issue giving Wentz another look.

Why? TH is averaging more points than CW. While CW had a good statistical game, he threw two picks.

The first one was on our side of the field and led to 3 points by JAX on a 19 yard drive.

The very next play, CW threw another interception, giving his defense no time to rest, and only 11 yards to go for a touchdown.

So while I believe TH may not have scored 28 points, I also doubt that JAX scores 22.

I am not advocating a change back to Wentz at the moment. The team is playing a much different game now. The D is top 5 in the last 7 games. They are running the ball much better. Wentz was asked to pass much more. You can't change from a 5-1 QB even if he is asked to just manage the game.

Never mind wince was brought in to succeed. For whatever reason playing to his strengths failed

The defense was bottom 5 by what metric? I agree the defense has made changes; however, those changes do not account for a switch from bottom 5 to top 5. Do you believe the offense can affect the defense by wearing the defense out? The percentage of 3 and outs under CW was far greater.

Brian Robinson came back week 5 against Tennessee and is averaging 58 yards per game at 3.7 per carry. He alone doesn’t account for the change.

Wentz did throw far more but was needed to throw more. He was required to throw more because of positions he put the team in, behind the down and distance markers. He took sacks twice as much and for greater yardage loss. This led to three and outs, forced passing situations and an exhausted defense.

Why can’t you change from a 5-1 QB if you believe your other QB gives you a greater chance at success?

When Wentz comes back and we start losing, the defense slides a little, and we are forced to run more, then MAYBE you will get it. Truthfully, I doubt you will because you will blame the defense and the running game for not being as good for Wentz.
