The last sentence is key. I've always believed Heinicke was going to have to play his way off the field. Hasn't done that yet. You can't bench him right now, but if he throws up a stinker in a loss, things could change.
Big picture, yes, you can and will lose your job to injury.
This has nothing to do with the 2nd pick imo. This is all about the locker room truning on Ron if he benches Heinicke after a win and winning three of four.but think about this what if the 2023 2nd round pick didn't exist for the 70% of the snaps? Would Wentz be playing against ATL? I can understand why TH would get the start against ATL to protect the 2nd round pick on a winnable game. If Wentz starts the Giants game the 2nd round pick in 2023 wouldn't happen. Wentz isn't ready today regardless so there is no decision to be made right now.

That plane ride home told me all I need to know. Right or wrong the love Heinicke and believe in him.
One really bad game and things could change. It's a week to week league.
i am not sure i buy the article . it could be true but i will wait and see . right now you cant bench falco , you would lose the locker room . a few losses and then maybe you could and maybe should
having given wince 28 mil and swapping 2nd round picks and giving up 1 3rd (possibly another 2nd or 3rd ) to get where you were last year is personnel mismanagement which is why we are having this year long debate
it was a stupid move made out of panic and desperation and it cost us
the question is who is leading the team better . you are 3-1 with falco and the team believes in him . we all know that falco isnt a starting qb in the NFL , we all have known this for some time , . the future draft pick shouldnt be in play if wince is the clear choiceof course, the article is bs. If somehow, we lose our next two games, then we would be out of the playoff race and then would turn to Howell. Assuming we get 2 wins and still are in the playoff race the real decision is for the Giants game. I understand why TH will start the Atl game even though Wentz will be healthy b/c of the future draft pick situation.
my attitude towards wince would be way different if we picked him up on waivers like we should of if we had a GM who knew the game
and i will keep poring water under that bridge for some time into the futurewell its water under the bridge right now. We will y give up a 3rd next year for the trade b/c TH will start today and next week.

the team is absolutely 3-1 because of the play of falco . not the sole reason mind you , but wince goes 2-2 at bestTH is 3-1 but not b/c of TH. Its well documented. To save the 2nd round pick we will go with TH for the ATL game. Its a winnable game. RR doenst want to cause waves in the locker room right now. I understand that. Now TH has two bad defenses he gets the play. He should lite it up. Right?

Wince can’t escape pressure or overcome his own bad plays , that’s the differenceCW never got the turnovers TH got that is a fact. CW can hand off the ball too. cmon. Hey I hope TH lights it up for the next two weeks. If he does that than you can't bench him,

I don’t need to because the as he has shown throughout his career more often then not he foldsThen Explain Week 1 after CW threw 2 ints and came back and won? I will give you pocket awareness but again he wasn't getting protected well like TH. It's a moot issue now. TH is likely to be the starter next week unless he gets hurt today or really stinks it up.
