I remember that. Some of you may remember this. When Wentz had the miraculous escape from about 5 redskins and threw the td on Monday night football. I said that is unbelievable, but that’ll be his undoing in the nfl, and that has pretty much happened. He fought so hard to keep plays alive
Heh. Did he really say that?
And won with Tony for the short time they were together.Yes he did. It was at the end of his career when Schotty cut him because he was bitching about the offense and taking no responsibility for how badly he was playing.
The only reason that I know that is because 16 year old me wanted the Vikings to keep George around for another year (being unsure about Daunte Culpepper) and 18 year old me was very glad we didn't.
Marty replaced George with Tony Banks.
Remember the game was played in crappy weatherI'm kinda where EB is. Part of me believes that we would be better with Wentz if the run first philosophy is the same, but I can't say that with certainty.
Never fk with a streak in any sport, so you stick with Heinicke until he gives you a CLEAR reason not to. That said, I would like to see Wentz on the active roster as the number two on gameday.
The qb situation is a conundrum. Heinicke has probably earned himself two losses before he's benched. Thing is, two losses could probably end the season depending on when the losses occur and who those losses come against.
Thirty-four yards passing in the second half. I get it, it was wet, Robinson has it going, but you have McLaurin, Samuel, and Dotson. Thirty-four?
If I'm Ron I go with Heinicke, but I definitely have Wentz in uniform ASAP.
I did say it was wet. I get it. I do remember Rypien throwing 16 for 31, 442 and 6 tds in the seat cushion game. The weather was pretty crappy that day as well. Tough comparison, but it can be done. Love Heinicke. I really do, but I need more than 34 yards passing in a half vs the 32nd ranked pass defense in the league. That all I'm saying.Remember the game was played in crappy weather
OK, yeah I remember now. Something to the effect of, "That leadership stuff is overrated. If you win everything is alright" or something like that. After he was benched going 0-2 to open up the 01 season. My son and I went to the game against Dago to open up the season that year. The Skins lost 30-3. As disappointing as that and the 37-0 MNF ass whipping was in week 3. I wasn't really surprised. George was never gonna work out as Marty's QB. Marty had total control over football personnel and football matters so I never understood why he retained George. And won with Tony for the short time they were together.
You are really starting to clown out dude. Get a gripHe was not getting benched after the beats game if he stayed healthy. The coached did not want to mess with the win streak. Does this mean he is a better QB? I dont think so. RR is all over the place this year.
Pocket awareness is not about system. It is something QBs have. Carson Wentz has never had awareness.

Good pointsPocket awareness is not about system. It is something QBs have. Carson Wentz has never had awareness.
Carson Wentz was sacked 23 times in 6 games. TH has been sacked 9 times in 6 games.
2017 CW sacked 28 times in 13 games. Foles sacked 5 times in 7.
2018 CW sacked 32 times in 11 games. Foles sacked 9 times in 5 games.
I don’t think so but what the reason for keeping him in there might not be for football reasonsyou think Wentz was getting benched if he didn't get hurt?
I argued with my son over the phone for about an hour about how bad the trade was. Killed our free agency.Wentz is an immobile, drop back passer who's held the ball too long throughout his NFL career. That's not how you succeed in the NFL anymore. Most teams realize that and have moved on from the Wentz's of the league. Wentz was a castoff from a mediocre team that couldn't make the playoffs. FO were fools to make that trade.
