I think he was the 2nd longest tenured coach in the NFL, no? Kinda amazing he lasted so long with so few positive results.

his win % is actually pretty decent, the only 2 playoff wins is a drawback

He honestly probably was an above average coach until the Cousins era.

Zimmer's D really hasn't supplemented the potential of the Vikings offense. On paper, the Cousins era should've been in the playoffs every year and they made a lot of mistakes.

3rd after Belichick and Carroll. Speaking of, is Pete going to make it?

As long as you’re over .500 you can last quite a while. Look at Marvin Lewis in Cincy.

i think hiring his son as DC and his good friends son as OC was a big blunder

If I am thinking of two names that ended Zimmer's time here in MN, I think Bradberry and Gladney.....not Kubiac and Zimmer.

As much is made of the Jefferson after Reagor draft where we benefitted by a team losing their mind and overthinking the draft, Bradberry and Gladney were almost as bad selections as Jefferson was good especially when you factor in the players who went after them at their same positions.

Cousins was his demise. Kirk can take a 6 win team and make them a 8 win team. He will also take a 10 win team and make them an 8 win team.

Agreed. The expectations when you guys got Cousins was SB contender. Not middle of the pack. He went all-in on a 'three of kind' type of poker hand in the same division as Aaron Rodgers.
