The first game Baby Nicklas saw was earlier this year against the Blues, a 7-3 romping. I hope to see the same tonight. Halak can be a 40+ save goalie, but he's gonna get hit from all angles. The injuries for the Blues are about the only guys that can give Detroit fits. But then again, that's why we play the games...

Was 2-1 Wings when Backes took a cheap shot to the ribs of Holmstrom near the benches. Cleary made St Louis pay on the resulting powerplay. Big stop by Howard in the closing minute to leave the game 3-1 after two periods.

The best part was that the empty netter wasn't a cheap goal whatsoever. All Nick wanted to do in the final minute was keep the puck out of his own net. (as usual) Played his solid D, got the puck, made the pass to break the puck out of our zone(does this better than anyone), followed the play while keeping track of other team, and was rewarded by the hockey gods. (might be his parents?
