Cried like a baby when Ralph Sampson hit the shot at the free throw line to eliminate the Lakers.

Felt like crying but it was more like stunned silence when Baltimore came down and kicked the Titans' ass in '09.

The only other thing that comes to mind is the terrible call that eliminated the Padres against the Brewers.

Those old Padres uniforms could make a grown man cry.

I never had but would bet the ranch that there were plenty of Eagles fans crying like little school girls on Sunday. :suds:

In 2010 I was coaching my grandson's AYF football team. They were all 8 year olds. The opposing team's running back broke a long run and was about 5 yards in front of one my players when he collapsed and fell.
It took the 400 LB ref about thirty seconds to blow the whistle and signal for a coach to check out the kid. I ran out onto the field and sent my team to the sidelines and had my ass't keep them away. There was no ambulance and we immediately called for one. Both the other coach and I did CPR on the little guy, but he died.
He had an undetected and rare heart defect. The tears are coming back to me now as I can still see the excited look in his eyes about the touchdown he never got to finish.
Holy Shit. That is just heart breaking. I think about all of the phone cameras today going non-stop and can just imagine a parent videoing their kid and going from absolute joy to life-changing, eternal sorrow and depression in one second. :rip:

How about when Butler picked off that pass at the goal line :noidea:

Oh, man, that is making me sad because I believe it's true that there are crazy people who would abuse their pets, and maybe even their wives and kids, while upset over a sporting event.

At least you can draw some comfort knowing that horses are safe in philly.

You don't think dogshit brown and adobe coordinate well?

The Padres uniform was bad when I started following baseball in 1987. Then in 1988 or so, our teacher showed us a movie where the little Different Strokes kid becomes manager of the Padres, and I found out that the uniform was even worse earlier in the '80s.

I liked most of them actually. Nothing will ever be as bad as those Astros uniforms or the ridiculous hats the Pirates wore.

A few times.

Curling bonspiels when I was starting Curling because I sucked so much.

A Vancouver/Ottawa hockey game in the mid 90's because Vancouver was trash then.

Special Olympics provincials for Curling because I thought that I cost my team the game when we had opportunities to win.

I'm a person who is hard on himself and demands perfection or pretty darn close to it.

I hear ya man. Who among us hasn't shed a few tears over a curling bonspiel?

When I was a kid? Yeah. By high school, I basically stopped, though. Outside of one of my own where my high school baseball team got upset in the state playoffs by a really low seed. It was my senior year and I never thought it would be my last game with the school. It was June and I had already graduated too... so that was just fucking it for high school. lol. It hit me hard.

With professional sporting events? Nah. I'm a fucking psycho and I do let it ruin my next few days sometimes. Hell, there's Bears losses from over a decade ago that I'm not over. But cry? No.

This might be a different thread and I swear I don't take satisfaction in the misfortune of others but for some reason I laugh every time on TV they show someone in the stands at a college or NFL game who is dressed up as a team mascot or has their face painted crying. But only if they took the time to put together some kind of costume do I find it amusing. If someone dressed in normal clothes is crying in the stands I might feel bad for them.

I was pretty salty about the divisional round against the Colts in 03-04 when I just turned 9. When I dislocated my knees during a soccer match for the second time got me to stop playing sports; my knees couldn’t really keep up with what the rest of my body wanted to do.

I cried tears of laughter when they said Dez didn’t catch it.
