I thought one could cry as long as it wasn't over baseball. Okay, one of my moments was over baseball.

No crying in da spoets

Even just watching basebawl makes you extremely feminine. Watch an entire season and you will grow a full fledged vergina. Not even a good vergina either....like one of those mutilated he-poosays like Bruce Jenner bought.

I cried when the Packers lost to the Cowboys in the NFC Championship game in 1995. I was 6.

I'll also admit that I teared up when the Cubs finally won the big one a few years ago. It was just such a relief

Only time I ever shed a tear is when the 94 Denver Nuggets beat the 94 Super Sonics in the first round of the 94 playoffs..... We hadn't lost 3 games in a row all year long, were the hands down favorite to win finals, were up 2-0 in the series, and went on to lose 3 in the row, the final 2 games being over time games... We were the 1 seed they were the 8 seed barely over .500 at 42-40 we were 63-19 on the fucking year, now i'm pissed thinking about it.... It taught me a lesson though... NEVER EVER LOOK PAST AN OPPONENT, EVER !!! I spent about a month depressed over that shit... But it did teach me a lesson in the sadness and I've never wavered or thought any game is a shoe in .. Fucking sports, I hate loving you sometimes ...

I remember Dikembe celebrating on the floor. Classic moment. It's really time for the Sonics to come back.

No saw it on TV. So not "live" but I saw it in real time as it was broadcast

You were able to see it live instead of tape delay? I think I read that it was broadcast live in Canada. Kinda lame that it was broadcast on tape delay in the United States.

I think it's going to happen, but the wait could be very long. Maybe the new hockey arena can also host NBA games??

Still gets me...

Watched that as well. Can still hear the announcer yelling Eruzione Scores!!! Mike Eruzione!!! on the go ahead / game winning goal. The place went nuts.

Can't say I cried though.

Now, if you asked how many times I've cussed and thrown things over a sporting event.. Probably couldn't count. But even then not for a long time. I'm way too old to get that worked up over a sporting event I'm not actually involved in.

Still probably many years off at best. Rebuilding the Key was yet another in a LONG ASS LINE of epic blunders by that city council. Parking is going to be worse than it was before and it was unbearable.

Confession time. This could be for happy reasons or sad reasons, or just because you like to cry. And no, complaining over a bad call doesn't count unless you actually shed tears over it.

I'll start. There have been two times I cried. 1991 NFC championship game when the New York Giants beat the Niners 15-13 on a field goal as time expired. Before that FG, Roger Craig fumbled and the Giants hurt Joe Montana (again!). Ended the Niners' threepeat attempt. I was 11 years old then, so I think I should get a pass.

The other time was when the 1993 San Francisco Giants missed out on the postseason on the last day of the regular season. Giants had led the West almost all season and then fell behind by 5 games in the last month. They made a furious comeback to tie the Braves only to be blown out by the Dodgers in Game 162 after the Braves finished a season sweep of the Rockies earlier that day (something like 13-0 against Colorado that season. Damn the Rockies!!). I was 14 years old then, so looking back at it now, I feel ridiculous.

that one was absolutely brutal. Braves put on one of the greatest runs in sports history that year. But I was a raiders fan back in my bay area days growing up and that NFCCG was absolute heaven. So many things about that game. Roger Craig is one of the classiest guys that you'll ever meet in your life and he's remembered more for that than he is being mr 1000/1000. He doesn't fumble and maybe Steve Young wins vs the Bills. And there was one interview where Montana said he was done being looked after the hit on the sideline, waved someone over and at that point he finally noticed that his finger was dislocated and pointing sideways on top of everything else.

Only once. The 1988 NL Playoffs when the Mets came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Dodgers. Freaking Kal Daniels hitting into a double play with Strawberry on deck

Niners got too conservative. They should've unleashed Steve Young.

That Packers team really should've won more than one Super Bowl.

He hit that slant right when he got into the game for like 20 yards. He looked sharp.

I didn't openly weep but my eyes got watery when the Vikings lost to the Falcons in the 1998 NFC Championship game.
