Fuck. Fractured right hand, had it surgically repaired. Bears say he'll be ready for week one, but probably with still wearing a cast. Is it me or is Floyd starting to look like Kevin White Lite?

He was a candidate for DROY in 2016 before the injury... so... no. He's played a good deal in both seasons and been a force when healthy. White has played a fraction of one season (the half of a game in another) out of three and was a total non-factor outside of one garbage time highlight reel catch in Dallas.

Hate to be that guy, but this is kind of a silly topic. IMO

I agree Floyd's struggles with injuries is troublesome, but there's no comparison here. Floyd, like many other good players... just seems to be a guy who will always struggle to be 100%. White has shown nothing and has suffered a catastrophic injury before every campaign even got going.

Injuries could easily derail Floyd’s promising career. White has no promise to speak of.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Getting injured in your rookie season is a concern but probably not uncommon.
Getting hurt in your sophomore season is a red flag. To me anyway.

Or as Michael Scott would say:

My comparison had nothing to do with the respective talents of each, why that was even brought into the mix is beyond me. It was injury-related and injury-related only. Obviusly he hasn't missed as much time as White, but these nagging injuries tend to take its toll over the long haul. You want to shrug your shoulders over this? Be my guest, I think I'll take a more concerned approach.

He's an undersized project with incredible length, speed and bend. He needs to add a little weight/strength still. He could be incredible tho. He has the athleticism, IMO.

His position is the Bears' Achilles heal right noe tho.

I mean, you asked if Floyd was Kevin White of the defense. Obviously, that includes a comparison of talent.

Regardless... Floyd has played 12 and 10 games in each of his two seasons (22 of 32). White has played 0, 4 and 1 in his three seasons (5 of 48).

So, even if we just boil it down to injuries. It's still just not really a conversation.
