This could put a crimp in the plans for new arenas in Quebec City and Edmonton, but I'm on board with this decision.

Bettman spoke out recently about the Oilers needing a new arena. I know from seeing some of the Oilers show on NHL Network that Oilers ownership is seeking a 1 billion dollar project that includes a new arena but city council isn't in favor of doing it. Could the Oilers be leaving Edmonton?

I believe it's part of a major downtown revitalization plan Boss...New arena, casino, shopping etc.

I just don't know if 1 billion is enough
