I'm so glad that we can now throw out all of the records for Michigan since everything before Harbaugh is inadmissible.

Hoke was a bad guy and a terrible coach, he should be fired......happy?

Michigan offers a scholarship. Kids accepts the offer. Kid commits to Michigan because of offer = accepting a commitment.

Right, and we pulled their offer before accepting commitments from other recruits. We have yet to accept more commitments than we have spots for in this class.

I have no problem with having the conversation of "if you commit, you are fully committed and won't take visits elsewhere and we'll stick by you." But it is naive to think a kid is going to forget that conversation because Shady Harbaugh rolled into town and he should have known that Michigan will not honor anything that was told to him before.

I don't think he should. Hoke lost. Why should Harbaugh have to accept Hoke's scouting of recruits and offers he sent out |?

He has every option to back out at any time before papers are signed, as does Michigan.

That's not what you said. You said "who he thinks will commit and who is committed are two different things". So which one was Swenson? Was he not going to commit to Michigan or was he not really committed to Michigan?

Harbaugh knew he was committed to Michigan. But Harbaugh pulled his scholarship, and thus his commitment, to give the scholarship to someone else he thinks will commit.

So every recruit should not trust Harbaugh's word because on any given day, he may change his mind and pull your scholarship.

That's their prerogative. Just like Harbaugh has to trust that these kids aren't going to flip on NSD. Sometimes the trust relationship is broken by one or the other.

So the bar for etiquette is going to based on how teenagers behave? Is that really where we are? Is that the way you would like society to base their decisions?

Obviously not, which is why when Harbaugh does it once he gets criticized and when recruits do it, it's normal.

Yet Michigan fans have no problem with it because kids might flip on him.

Guy: "Hey fiancé, I'm breaking up with you because I'm going to go bang that hot secretary at work.

Guy: "Well I am pulling my offer because I might have a chance for someone better"

I would put money that Harbs has already had private talks and due to those talk he is making room. He has told kids to wait until NSD to announce. He has gotten private verbals and now needs to clean house since he accepted more than he has room.
