I wouldn't give two shits if any school did this. I don't see a problem with it at all. Just like a recruit has the ability to change their mind at any point before signing day... so does a program and that alone should be why a kid takes all his official visits. If a kid doesn't want to take other visits.. especially after the coaching staff that recruited him leaves... and the offer is yanked with a month to go.. its on him for not seeing what else is out there.. just like its on a program for not having a plan B for a recruit that flips to another school. Signing day is signing day for both sides.

That is brutal, but proves my pt. That is a situation from 2010. If this was a common practice there would 50+ similar stories to Swenson this year. There is not, that is why it is a major story
honestly... who really cares his offer was pulled.. you are defending a kid when you don't know why the offer was pulled... who could have taken other recruiting visits.. was told to take other recruiting visits... and clearly was not wanted well before the offer was pulled. Its on the kid. Any fan that cries about a school doing this is just a moron. Gray Shirting a kid last second is much worse than this... and that will happen to 50+ kids on signing day.

Show me a situation where he has not.
He suspended two OL for <gasp> peeing in "public" (outside a garage at a golf course) then running from police.
He suspended 4 players for the first game this year for "violation of team rules" - 3 of them for pot, 1 for skipping class.
He suspended Bradley Roby "because he was there" even though charges were dropped.
He suspended JT Barrett for being arrested for OMVI.
He dismissed Storm Klein from the team then reinstated him 6 games later when investigation showed that his baby momma made up a story.
He suspended Adolphus Washington for soliciting a prostitute in a Craig's List cop sting for his last game as a Buckeye, the Fiesta Bowl.
He has ushered a few discipline problems out of the program as well, Noah Spence, Rod Smith, etc.

You have no idea what you are talking about. You should stop.

its great how much my posts bother you..

Not as great as your inability to use commas and format paragraphs while claiming to be a Marine who scored a 92 on the ASVAB.

lol... just because he handed out a 1 game suspension doesn't make him a disciplinarian... most of these guys should have been removed from the team completely...

Ha Barrett had a worse punishment than a convicted felon at MI. Keep trying.

neither washington or sprinkle should have been allowed back on the team... face it bro.. meyer is not a "disciplinarian" and he recruits garbage players with serious character flaws. If he could pull Hernandez out of jail right now and line him up for OSU he would.

You were the one who wanted everyone to know you own a company with 100's of employees, served as a Marine in both Iraq and Afghanistan and scored a 92 on your ASVAB - despite your obvious inabilities to pass 3rd grade English.

And now you're being called out for your bullshit. You can either prove your claims or admit you are a liar.

No one ever did. Only Michigan fans did that.

My contention is that, sadly, all HCs push the edge when it comes to recruiting to recruit the best possible teams. They use every tactic "within the rules" available. If it means ditching a player who has already enrolled because he's an injury risk, so be it. Right?

If it means holding off on a "commitment" because better players might be available, so be it. Right? If it means rescinding an offer because a player doesn't continue to measure up, so be it. Right?

On the other hand, players can commit and decommit right up through signing day, and hardly anyone blinks an eye. It's the process.
