Marty was fired after a 15-1 record and hasn't been on the same level since. We all get annoyed with Pete from time to time but sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Let's see what Pete, the new OC and Russ come up with.

Pete will be the HC for the upcoming season. Russ will be the starting QB. If things go south, for whatever reason, then Pete will get canned, IMO.

Too many threads on this bullshit already. I'm not helping any by adding one more, but hopefully, in this forum, it will be contained to our own fan base.

Disclaimer: I think this rumor has legs mainly because Wilson hasn't made any public statements to shoot it down.

So, assuming Wilson's future in Seattle indeed is in play, what is his motivation? Does he want out, does he want a contract negotiation that puts him in Mahomes' and Watson's stratosphere, or does he want more control over how the offense is built and run.

I think he wants out. This is media barrage about Wilson being unhappy has been far too convenient and seemingly staged with an end game clearly in mind. And I don't think it is money nor his disagreement with how the offense is run nor the ability of the OL to protect him. I think those are just convenient excuses. What I think he wants brighter in a more high profile organization and to be able to hang out with celebrities after the game.

He completely controls where he plays next season and I think he wants a bigger stage which leaves very few franchises.

#1 LA Chargers. I think Russ really wants to be in LA where he and his pretend-Christian wife love to rub noses with celebrities. Herbert and the #13th overall pick for Russ with a few other later round picks? I'd take it.

#2 New York Jets. NYC lights are bright enough for Broadway Russ. Darnold their numbers #2 and #23 picks for Wilson and our #56 pick? I do that one too and hopefully Darnold would only start 5 or 6 games before Zack (Don't Call Me Russell) Wilson took over.

#3 Las Vegas Raiders. Vegas is Hollywood East. Russell would probably accept that trade. Carr and an assortment of draft picks with then highest being #17. No thanks.

#4 Dallas. Dallas is not a celebrity hotspot but the Cowboys have the highest profile of any team in the NFL. Russ would probably accept a trade there. And he doesn't have a broken leg so the Cowboys might be interested. But they have no QB to send back. Their biggest asset is the #10 pick in the draft. No thanks;.

#5. New York Giants. Again, Mr Ciara would love the bright lights of NY. Jones and the #11 and other later round picks. No thanks.

#6. LA Rams. This is the ideal scenario for Russ but there are multiple obvious reasons why this won't happen. And Aaron Donald would hate the hit it would take on his sack totals.
If Wilson is traded they might as well just trade everyone else of value because there's no way this team wins more than 5 games with anything short of a top-5 QB.

I can't really think of any trade scenarios other than your first one that makes all that much sense for the organization. Even that is sub-optimal. I'd drop Carroll before I'd move on from Russ, although that's never going to happen.

The only way to resolve this situation is doing whatever will make Russ happy. Unfortunately he's pissed off about the pass protection when IMO in 2020 he had the best pass protection I've seen from a Seahawks offensive line in Russ's career. He seems to lack the self awareness that a substantial number of the sacks he took were his fault.

I think the pass protection was great in the 1st half of the season. But when Shell and then a few others got hurt, the line started to collapse and was downright terrible at the end of the season.

No depth and easily injured starters was the problem.

Oh yee of little faith. I heard similar fears and permissions in the preseason camp before Russell's first season. If it happened once, it can happen again. You know what can't happen again? Another title game, at least not when Wussell would rather be in Hollywood. Flyhawk is starting to remind me of Kagezilla.

Jets fans keep saying this every year. Dolphins as well. Looks like the Bills hit gold. Only took 25 years.

Wow some of you are crazy. Russell doesn't want to be traded and hasn't said shit other than the crap the media twisted up till it means something completely different than how it was stated. Chances Wilson is traded are 0% sorry. You guys have flat out lost your mind just like all the other cancel culture people. lol

The Seahawks spend literally decades trying to find a franchise QB, then we finally get one, then (some) fans clamor to trade him??

Same with PC. Did the NW folks not learn anything from the Don James "firing" (forced retirement or be fired)?

The team has been on it's best run of success ever under PC and Russ, and its really not even close. We have arguably been the 2nd best franchise over the last decade.

We have been and remain in SB contenders year in and year out. That is exactly where you want to be. While it hasn't panned out in the playoffs in recent years the inflated expecations seems to have blinded some to what and where this team is.

I do agree but it's tough to think this team goes south with Russ here. What we need is the FO to hit a couple of players in the draft to start and see what they do in FA.

Wrong. He has even told where he would like to be traded to. But that is not as loud as what he is not saying. He is not saying is, "Im happy here and all the rumors are bullshit".

Can you post the actual trade scenerios? They are behind the espn+ paywall.

i

Dolphins get: QB Russell Wilson

II
i

i

Raiders get: QB Russell Wilson, 2022 sixth-round pick (from Seahawks)

i

Patriots get: QB Derek Carr (from Raiders)

III
Seahawks get: Edge Brian Burns, QB Teddy Bridgewater, No. 8 overall pick in 2021, 2022 first-round pick, 2023 first-round pick

i

Panthers get: QB Russell Wilson, 2023 second-round pick

IV

i

Seahawks get: QB Sam Darnold (from Jets); edge Bradley Chubb, No. 9 overall pick in 2021, 2022 first-round pick (from Broncos)

i

i

Jets get: WR Tim Patrick, 2023 fourth-round pick (from Broncos); 2023 third-round pick (conditional, from Seahawks)

Pass on all of them. Not a fan of any QBs being offered up plus none of the picks are high enough to draft a prime QB prospect.

I can't envision a trade that is possible that I would think is a good trade.

Wilson will push almost every team into the Playoffs meaning if you get first round picks they wont be top 20 even, other than say 2021 first round picks. When talking about prime time franchise players and a QB at that you need more than just 1 top 10 pick so in other words it's not happening.

This whole thread is fail and part of a "i hope it happens" from someone that isn't even a Seahawks fan but wants to pretend.

The only trade I can see is if the Jags or Jets trade this years top pick and the next 2 yrs of 1st but that is a 0.0 chance of happening since they're not ready to compete for the playoffs.

He does seem to have an obsession with Russ' wife though.
