What we thought, initially anyway, our catchers were the worst hitters in the majors, has not been so to date.
I'll take it, they'll regress eventually but enjoy it for now

And DT is availableYes, Tanner is not out there.
Agree Tag. Leave Tolleson out. He could still pitch tomorrow since he didn't yesterday.
8 of his pitches were intentional so I think he would be available. Plus he sat a long time.I think the reasoning is that he wasn't going to be available tomorrow anyway, so save the other arm for tomorrow
There was not a better time to throw Bass or someone who is never in the game at that point.Closer in with 8 run lead. Jackson debut stalled
Either that or a blow out. But I would have preferred then. There was not a better time to throw Bass or someone who is never in the game at that point.
And we are allowed to have our opinions as well. This is exactly why Kela was sent down. You tell me why you have guys like Bass in the BP and the reason for pitching Tolleson. I would rather have him available tomorrow and he sat for a long time in the dugout which is not par for a reliever.Very early in the season I stated that if the Rangers finished around .500 then Banister should be manager of the year, and it was met with a resounding yes from all corners.
Now, all some want to do is bitch and bitch about his use of the BP.
For me, I'd done exactly what he did today with Tolleson today. Sit him for the next game, day off, and then he should be refreshed for Tues if needed.
It was really 8 less as those were part of the intentional walks.Big difference between 48 pitches than around 30 for a closer. I get that he was unavailable regardless. But I hate to see overuse lead to injury. Of course Nolan would not fret over this.

And by the way we all complain about moves here and there along the way yourself included.
Also I did want to hear his thoughts re Tolle. I understood rationale re earlier Perez outing.
I remember the first day I walked into a classroom to teach students for the first time. Lawd knows how many mistakes were made. So I will pass on the verdict concerning Banny for now. I didn't turnout so bad and he probably won't either no matter how loud I holler.I hear ya.....One thing about both Banny and JD, they answer the question, if asked, and don't really dodge it. You/me/us may, and sometimes do, disagree. But at least he will answer the question with something other than, "I just felt like it."
Know what I mean? haha
