Sorry, I've always wanted to do a Game Day Thread. After all, it's Wednesday!

Note: I know the game is on Thursday - What I meant is that this is like a Wednesday given the time between games and the GDT's are started on Wednesday.

This note brought to you in part by Captain Obvious.

What's the NFL rule pertaining to ejections? Once ejected, that means the player will automatically miss the next game?

If so, we are screwed to some extent in keeping Torrey Smith on lock.

Ravens 23
49ers 13

It is simply too much to ask a team with one day of rest and one day of practice to travel 3,000 miles and play one of the league's best teams in their arena. The string stops here.

How many days of rest do the Ravens have in comparison to the 9ers?

49ERS like it when they are doubted. Keep it up.

Two if they choose or they can add a day of practice if they choose on the day the 49ers have to waste travelling. In short, they have twice as much rest or twice as much practice; whichever they choose.

Then they will be absolutelky thrilled this week. I'm just going to enjoy the game and use it as a barometer for where the team is at. The outcome at this point is almost meaningless. The Niners are still pretty much locked in to the #2 spot in the playoffs.

Should be an interesting game. I watched over half of the Ravens game this week, and if the long ball to Torrey Smith wasn't working, they couldn't do anything on offense. That particular play might exploit our biggest weakness on D, but if we can account for it I like our chances of keeping their offense in check. Circumstances do lean strongly in their favor, though.

I'm thinking Rice will be used like Helu was against us. Lots of check down passes. Make the first tackle and we are good. Boldin is slow and should be single covered no problem. That leaves us having a safety over the top on Smith like we did with Fitz. All that leaves is their two TEs. Willis and Whitner will need to be tight in coverage.

That was one of my chief concerns as well. Plus Bolden and Evans could make trouble. The lack of a pass rush will allow Flacco time for these routes to develop.

Their rookie Torrey Smith needs to be accounted for too. I think he's had the winning TD catch in the last two games, and he blew up once this year with a 3 TD game. While Boldin and Rice draw attention, this guy sneaks out and makes the plays like Kyle Williams did for the 49ers yesterday while Crabs and VD drew the main attention.

No "rule," per se. It's a case by case thing. I doubt Goldson will be suspended, but he will be fined.

This one is a MASTER DOUBTER. His MO is to spread FUD and then one of two follow-ups:

1. ooooh, I'm so happy they won, I'm such a fan!
2. I told you that they'd lose, why do you doubt me.

It's classic concern trollism. Glad to see his true colors shining through again.
