I sleep on the floor a lot. Great for the back. I have a whole Japanese style sleep area set up on the corner of our bedroom for it. Ended a lot of years of neck pain once I started doing it.

I always noticed how much less stiff I felt when getting up when I was camping. Not to mention how much better I slept. My mattress pad and sleeping bag go everywhere I go.

One of the greatest athletes (a pro) and strongest guys I know sleeps on the floor and always has. Swears by it. Dude is a high level athlete, freakish strength and never seen an injury in his life.
