No, not dopey at all. This was a very good movie and I forgot all about Jack's cameo.

Two words: flop sweat.

I enjoyed it quite a bit.

It's a great film to enjoy on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

I probably caught the movie after it was popular. At the time, i always wondered in every movie I saw with him, how William Hurt was constantly cast as the good looking male lead.

Hurt did have a pretty good run in the 80s... Body Heat, Altered States, Kiss of The Spider-Woman, Children of a Lesser God... and I think he was in The Big Chill, too.
