I was comparing career #'s, not so much Pro Bowl selections. I mentioned the stats & it was Rock that brought you the Pro Bowls & the fact that Novacek is in the CFB hall. Witten has more than twice as many receptions & yards & is 1 TD away from doubling up Novacek in that category. Of course the NFL is more pass happy today than they were during Novacek's era but I still think Witten is the better TE of the two.

sorry, I wasn't directing that towards you. It seems like more and more people are using that as a way to say someone is better than so and so because of a Pro Bowl selection which is just stupid. I think Witten is better imo but I can see why people debate it

Physically the guy is not only big and strong, but deceptively quick and fast. I can't remember what game it was, but he was being covered by a CB that was probably in the 5'10" 190/200 lb area and I thought that if Brady sees this one on one matchup, it's over. Sure enough, Gronk literally pushed the CB on his arse and caught a pass wide open for 30+ yards.
