Greg Oden was arrested in Lawrence, Ind., early Thursday for allegedly punching his ex-girlfriend. The incident took place at Oden's mother's home, police said, and the NBA player admitted to wrongdoing when authorities arrived on the scene at 3:30 a.m.

According to the Indianapolis Star, police "observed blood, swelling to the nose, lacerations to the forehead and nose area of the victim's face." They also "observed blood on the sofa and floor in the sitting area. (They) observed (blood) on the living room carpet (and) dirt from a flower pot that was knocked over."

His NBA comeback is not looking so good.

The first thought that came to me when I saw that was "What a fuckin coward. He actually was compelled to hit a woman that had to be less than half his weight, size and strength. People like him should have to do hard time in a prison where they make them get out on the roads on a chain gang and have to do some manual labor for a minimum of one year. May be then he would be so quick to hit defenseless women
