Yeah, without her, all they would have are pictures of a battered woman without any story behind it, unless there were others who saw what happened, which I guess wasn't the case. They wouldn't be able to use any of her statements, as it would be a Sixth Amendment confrontation clause problem.

He hasn't played since 2013, right? He's currently suspense for drug use I think. Not sure though.
