Nick Saban could move up into the #1 spot, but at this moment, he's NOT my #1.

Before I make the argument for my pick, tell me your picks, and defend your pick, or list your Top 3 or Top 5 or Top 10.

Nick Saban. Nobody has built a dynasty like he has, at least not since the AP Poll started, and he's win natties at different schools.

Frank Broyles has the best coaching tree ever IMO, and winning a natty at Arkansas is almost as impressive as building a dynasty at Bama.

How is it not Saban already simply because this era is harder to build a dynasty in than any before it.

Social media and the overall coverage of the sport make finding untapped talent much harder. So many hotbeds are covered far more and it's not as easy to pull in and poach those big kids.

The game is more advanced with tougher defensive schemes.

To dominate in that climate is truly something special.

I'll take Rockne, Saban didn't die in a plane crash, or have to take a train to recruit a kid.

Tell me more about this Frank Broyles coaching tree if you don't mind?

Apparently it IS already Saban IYO. And good argument for him, too. Still don't agree, but like how you argued your case. Guessing most here will agree with you.

I think the cold has addled your brain, there is only one goat...second place is still an Alabama coach.

Saban is undeniably on the Mt. Rushmore if not already the GOAT.

I think it’s harder now to be perennially successful but his program is a machine.

Otherwise, I’d say Frank Leahy.

If we're including coaches that coached before the AP poll era, and before the forward pass was a major part of the game, what exactly makes Knute Rockne better than Fielding Yost? They made a movie about Rocke, that's all I can come up with.

I did say, "of All-time". So if you want to argue for some Yale Coach from 1888, have at it. Every opinion is valuable. Not all are equal, I mean, only I am 100% right, but... LOL I'm interested in all of these different opinions, I think they are interesting.

Yost and Rockne both make my Mt. Rushmore, along with Bryant and Wilkinson.
