Heard on WEEI 93.7 FM Boston approx. 30 minutes ago..............Glenn Ordway, former host of the WEEI Big Show tweeted this morning that an NFL source told him that Roger Goodell will announce his decision on the Tom Brady appeal by Thursday afternoon.

What always seems stupid to me is why would anyone who knows what they're going to do, wait two or three days? If you've made up your mind and don't need anything further, just come out and make the announcement.

It gives Pat fans two days to hunker down before the next onslaught of Haterade begins.

Goodell didn't reduce Hardy's suspension, an arbitrator did. This is exactly why Goodell thought he wanted to hear this appeal.....
Arbitrator reduces Cowboys DE Greg Hardys suspension from 10 games to 4
This is what is going to end up hurting Goodell more if it goes to court. Goodell not allowing a neutral arbitrator is going to look even more heavy-handed by Goodell. He has painted himself into a corner.....

Yes I know Roger didn't do this, but he still has no clue WTF he is doing. He heard the Brady appeal to make sure the 4 games sticks. Period. He fucked up by hearing it, and is now stuck with going to court or pissing off the other 30 owners and Patriot haters. If he used an arbitrator he could have washed his hands and said "it was not me".

I absolutely amazes me that the Patriots, Brady haters who linger in these threads are ones who are constantly starting new threads about Brady and the Patriots. It's always the same crap....Cheat, Cheat Cheat. But they constantly start new threads and repeat the same stuff. Then the same trolls show up and copy and reinsert and pat each other on the back..................but there's nothing new.

As I sit here and type, I'm having an epiphany ............................ In the real world, outside of SportsHoopla, they have no friends, no wives, no girlfriends. All they have is SportsHoopla and a TV. They continually bait Patriots fans because we argue with them and they only have us in their lives.

I suggest that we do something really radical..........IGNORE them and not respond to anything they type. Don't make referrals, or copy comments. Totally ignore them as if they were never there. How long do you think it would take before they exploded, left the confines of their computer space and joined ISIS?

I would say it has to do with today being dominated by talk of the Franchise Tag players. The NFL likes to space out big news as it keeps the NFL in the news even during this ridiculously slow month leading up to training camp. I'm honestly surprised he would even think about it on Thursday as I would think he would want to wait until Monday to allow the players that are Tagged to be talked to death.

I also read that anything less than a complete reversal of all the penalties levied on Brady and this is absolutely headed to court. I can't imagine fucking Goofdell wiping out this mess at this point, which will be a joy to all Brady/Pat backers. Then we get to watch Brady abuse Goofdell in court like a piñata and will be pure joy!!

They're all up in arms over in the NFL forum over Brady taking this another step - I kinda hope he files a defamation lawsuit on top of it. The Brady haters would really flip the f*** out.

This is exactly what I think will happen. Brady is going to court to clear his name. People want him to accept this penalty so they can say "see he did it". If TB was at all guilty in this, they would not let him go to court and risk a bigger penalty from the NFL and more ridicule from the losers out there. The haters are nervous that when this goes to court, they are all going to have to run and hide, that's why they want him to accept this and move on, just like the NFL thought Kraft was going to make Brady do the same thing.

Three things.
I believe it the weather.
I believe it was a sting.
I seriously think that if TB had done anything, he would have stepped up and taken accountability.

Well, since it hasn't been announced - there's likely some back room negotiating going on.

Or Goofball is still trying to figure out how to save face. He still needs to figure out the best time to release it for PR purposes.

I tend to think the same thing. I find it very hard that if Brady did do this, that he would risk it coming out in court. This man's legal team would have to be fools to let him try the NFL knowing their is evidence out there that can hurt him even more. I laugh when people are like "the NFL is going to destroy Brady and bring out all his cheating and then he will be banned by the NFL. Brady will have to turn over his cell phone and then all the deleted texts will come out"...HAHA....Do you honestly think he and his attorney's are that stupid? The idiots seem to forget that the NFL will have to turn over all their text messages and emails and all that good stuff.

Are you implying that there could be an integrity issue @ NFLHQ? No can't be just ask Vincent and Goodell, it's all about the integrity.

Running a sting operation out of the league office in a championship game shows lots of integrity by the league.

Since the NFLPA has now shut the door on any back room deals by telling the world that if the suspension isn't entirely revoked they will go to court, they must believe that Brady is totally innocent. The NFLPA attorneys and Brady's attorneys must have gone over his cell phone with a fine toothed comb. If they had found anything that could have linked Brady to anything, they would have been silent. That and I think they have a couple of aces up their sleeve. I have no idea what it may be, but they want a public fight and they want it bad.

That being said, I honestly believe that Goodell is holding back because some of the owners are probably thinking that this could be much more costly than they originally thought. More than a few might be a bit nervous about some of their past actions, both private and public. No one wants dirty laundry hung out for everyone to see.

The absolute best scenario for Goodell is to publicly announced that the four game suspension has been revoked. The reason is that there has been no evidence submitted by the Wells Report or any of the 400 witnesses that Tom Brady had anything to do with tampering of the footballs. Then say that Brady is being fined $250000 for not cooperating 100% with Ted Wells during the investigation. He clears Brady, stays out of court and saves some face by getting 1 oz of flesh.

The haters in here will forever say that the fine is proof that Brady cheated and some of us will continually get sucked into a stupid argument because we just can't stand people who opine with pure bullshit. But that's for another day.

One final note......Goodell must come forth with his decision in a reasonable timeframe according to the NFL Rules. Tom Curran of NESN jokingly stated that meant he will wait until March 2016. After all, what's reasonable to the NFL?

Didn't they tell the officials to be on the lookout?
