Doesn't suprise me much, he drops too many or gives up on his route too early to make more catches and more yards. He is an average WR at best.

I would say he is average at worst if you comparé him to all the other starting receivers in the league.

Huh?????

i wonder vs who?????

If you are talking to me, it should be pretty obvious that he drops balls all the time. He dropped a ball against STL that would have been a first down. He also was playing patty cake with a DB against STL when RW wanted to throw the ball to him and by the time he finally decided to turn around, RW got sacked. Remember the drive he killed at the 50 last year in SF when he dropped a pass as he was wide open on a slant across the middle? There have been lots of situations like that for Tate. Gotta expect at least once a game he is going to make a catch he shouldn't make and he is going to drop one he should easily catch, that's just who Tate is.

Every receiver drops balls. But Tate is actually far better than most. He had 0 drops in 2011 and 2 drops in 2012. Cant find the stats for this year.

If you want to include the playoffs, he technically has two career 100+ yard reception games.

It's interesting that people are thinking that he's dropping a lot of balls when he fact he probably has one of the best hands in the league.

Wow, that surprises me, maybe because he bobbles, makes one handed catches (GB game, lol) or that his few drops have been at really crucial times, that it seemed to me that he had more drops? Thanks for the correction though Sonny.

It always appears that Tate should be getting 100 yard games because you see him with the ball a lot, however lots of those carries are punt or kick returns so the yards don't count. At least not in the receiver category.

19 posts and already talking shit? Looks like you won't last long here.

And no, I don't hate Tate, I just think he could be so much better if he would direct more energy toward playing instead of showboating every time he touches the ball.

Suddenly one play means he showboats every play? The gives great effort. He runs like lynch after he gets the ball. I dont understand why people trash the guy like they do. I love the way Tate plays.

It doesn't surprise me because of the type of offense we run, not because of Golden's skills. Also he had what 95 last week?

We are a run first offense and when we do pass we spread it around.

Also we are 7-1 without any 100 yard receivers this year if I'm not mistaken so I am not super worried about it.

One play? Seriously??? He constantly showboats. Did you see him the week before in AZ when he ran the punt back? How about after blowing up Sean Lee last year? There are more examples too, just look them up.

Golden Tate ranks 34th in the league in Yards and 21st in Yards after catch. He has steadily improved every season and is currently on pace to have 65-70 receptions for 900-950 Yards and 6 TDs. That isn't very average to me.

I love how just because myself and a few others believe Golden Tate is massively overrated among Seahawk fans that somehow makes us "Golden Tate haters"
