Shit happens, you cant blame a guy for giving on the floor. I dont understand how that is dirty, makes no sense.

Listen to former NBA players. It is quite obvious how this was dirty.

There is a correct way to dive and there is an incorrect way. He's the only player in NBA who dives for loose balls that way. Every other player in the league could dive for the ball without bending a player's knee/ankle but somehow this is a problem for Matthew

are you effen joking me? did you even watch the play? arent you the guy that kept saying how he watched none of the ECF's?

Delly explained it PERFECTLY- he dove for the ball- unlike that soft, lazy POS Korver- and he turned his shoulder in order to protect the ball and from someone jumping on the ball and tying it up for a jump ball.

He said that EXACT thing- think about it- if he just goes to the floor and doesnt protect hte ball korver just reaches down and gets a jump.

And TONS of people that I have read have said the same thing- you dont want to get hurt- get on the floor- Korver half assed it and unfortunately he got hurt - but he has no one but himself to blame.

and the Horford thing was RIDICULOUS- the baseline view CLEARLY SHOWS HORFORD DRAGGING Delly down. He boxed out Horford and Horford had his arm and was dragging him down. I mean ITS VIDEO, lol. its undisputable. The idiot gets pissed when Delly falls into him when HE pulled him down. REally- the guy was frusterated he had just gotten boxed out by a 6 foot 4 Australian. What a baby. The Hawks were a bunch of soft cry babies for hte most part. Bazemore cracked me up.....still better right man? HA

My ranking of the teams IMO

Memphis
Houston
Chicago
Atlanta

I think Chicago would have beat Houston. Butler covers Harden- and if he just slows him down- who scores on the Rockets? -the Bulls front line would have broke Dwight Howards fragile psyche. The Rockets had ancient Jason Terry starting because Beverly was out for the year. Beverly being out really hurt Houston's defense and ball movement. The Bulls would have handled them.

Memphis- I dunno- Memphis' offense was very poor once Conley was playing extremely hurt (when he did play)....

The Spurs and Clippers- were to me anyway, the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the West and Golden State lucked out bad missing both of them. New Orleans was a joke, Memphis had Conley's injury, and Houston was missing Beverly and incredibly one dimensional offensively.

The Warriors are going to be facing a team that will be playing very hard and doesnt take quarters off like Houston did.

I totally understand why the Warriors are big favorites- they are healthy, they are very good, they have home court, and it just seems like its their year- but the Cavs are not going to lay down. They are going to make Golden State earn it- and if Golden State does not play very good ball- the Cavs could pull off the upset without a doubt.

be instead of getting his ass kicked on every hustle play Korver might actually dive for a ball next time and give some effort instead of just giving a "show me" effort. Delly did absolutely nothing wrong on that play.

No further reading necessary after the above. Pretty much every former NBA player who has commented has said it was dirty. That trumps whatever stupid, "excuse it because it's a Cavs player," homer bullshit you said after that.

IMO top 4 are. Also I don't but Conley being hurt. His face was the only thing that wasn't healthy. His legs and arms were find and that's what you need to be healthy in the nba.

Warriors
Spurs
Memphis
Clippers

obviously you didnt watch TNT when asked- not ONE GUY- Reggie, Barkley, Smith, Shaq, Webber said they think Delly is a dirty player- NOT EVEN ONE OF THEM.

the only guys whining about Delly are the guys that he beat.

PERIOD

you are free to make up whatever you want though

You do realize dirty play is not the same thing as dirty player right? He may have not done enough in his career to be considered a dirty player yet but those 2 plays especially Horford were DIRTY PLAYS

I guess your lack of comprehension skills got the better of you.......again.

I didn't say they said he was a dirty player. I said that they said it was a dirty play.

Really, you need to stop posting here. You just embarrass yourself. And to be honest, when you're not here, there's actual intelligent basketball talk.

I don't think he's capable of realizing much of anything.

Blogtable: Your view on Matthew Dellavedova? NBA.com | Hang Time Blog with Sekou Smith

Steve Aschburner, NBA.com: I’ll take C. Dellavedova doesn’t go out intending to hurt opponents, but he does play recklessly in a way that can jeopardize other players’ well-being. His leg clamp on Taj Gibson‘s leg in the East semifinals showed Dellavedova is no innocent – he knows how to be sneaky and get under foes’ skin – and his repeated involvement in incidents and mishaps is no coincidence.

Fran Blinebury, NBA.com: Somewhere in between, though I would come down more on the dirty play side who is hiding behind LeBron’s skirt.

Shaun Powell, NBA.com: I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and call him scrappy, but his grace period is over with one more questionable collision with a player. I wonder: LeBron was so vociferous in his defense of Delly, but suppose it was LeBron and not Al Horford who got hit? Or LeBron and not Kyle Korver? Or LeBron and not Taj Gibson? What would LeBron say then?

Hey, you can think whatever you want.

Those are interviews from the TNT guys and the only guy that says the play on Korver was even remotely dirty was Kenny Smith.

the Shaq quote is the best- he said that playoff time is the time to dive on the floor and that if kenny, barkley and ernie were standing there he would take them out without a second thought.

the Horford thing is just absoutely ridiculous. HORFORD DID IT TO HIMSELF! he pulled the guy down onto himself! and then like an IDIOT he gets himself ejected because he is frusterated that a 6 foot 4 australian just boxed him out.

Its just too hilarious. Lets hope that Delly continues to play hard and with an edge and gets in the heads of the Warriors.

Unlike the Hawks though- i think the Warriors will actually be diving for balls- instead of half assing it like Korver

please explain to me how it was a dirty play.

and first of all- if you think the Horford thing was a "dirty play" then I just dont know what to say- Horford was pulling him down

and like i said- have you guys even watched the Korver play? Delly dives and covers up the ball so Korver cant grab it get a jump ball. To be a dirty play there has to be some kind of intent- and if you gleam intent from that then i just dont even know what to say. Maybe Korver needs to put in a little effort next time and get on the floor himself. Standing around when guys are diving for the ball is the surest way to get yourself hurt.
