Funnier yet, I'm reading the Kyrie injury thread and people are suggesting his minutes should be more monitored and he should have an X amount of games scheduled to just sit out and rest.

I'm not suggesting it's not a prudent plan, it's just ironic that the fan base now suggesting it is the same one that was all over the Heat/Wade for doing the exact same thing.

What probably should just happen in the NBA is that teams should look over the schedule and just schedule a couple blocks of 3-4 games off for certain players and just announce it.

Example, season starts in end of October.
Let James play through Thanksgiving and then know he is resting Dec 1-6 ( road trip with 4 games is 6 nights).
Then, they get the extended all star break.

Then, maybe another short break somewhere else.
It would be nothing etched in stone, but then the league, people buying road game tickets for a high price, would have nothing to bitch about.

My biggest concern with the Cavs' Kyrie Irving going down is that the general consensus is Cleveland has become enormous underdogs - and along with that comes a sense of having absolutely nothing to lose because the series, in many minds, is already over. Throw in the fact that one of the players on this extreme underdog team is named LeBron James. I sure hope the Warriors don't go to sleep, because they still have a lot of basketball to play against a formidable opponent. Stay alert and on your game, Golden State!

Yeah, overconfidence is the one thing that could kill GSW. Lebron gives them the proverbial "punchers chance."

If they go out playing like this thing is over, they could find themselves in real trouble. Lebron will do what Lebron does and be great. If guys like JR, Shump and even Delly can step up as they did earlier in the playoffs, they can make this real interesting.

GSW needs to look to step on the Cavs throat. The longer the series extends, the more chances Lebron will have to fuck thing up for the Warriors.

I'm sure Kerr is preaching this.
It's the NBA Finals.
Both teams earned their way there.

The underdog team still has the best player in the world and has shown they can prosper without Love or IRving.

I could see a mental let down if James was out.
Won't happen just because of Kyrie.

In the end, it's just a game these guys have all mastered or they wouldn't be there.

Warriors, most people thought had the better, deeper roster going in.
This just widens the gap.

No reason to think the Warriors will be doing anything other than heading to Cleveland up 2-0.

I don't think the general public has any knowledge of whether this knee-cap injury has anything to do with his tendinitis or not.

I'm inclined to think it played a role to some degree, but who knows.

Yeah, a long series doesn't only just give LeBron more chances... but the pressure will quickly build for the Warriors.

Pressure is one of the downsides to being the overwhelming favorite... of course the upside of having the superior team outweighs that :-)

What ignorant Mofo was on here the other day insisting that Iggy couldn't check Lebron?

* looks around nervously*

Welp,.....Fin.

I will say this, if Lebron can pull a rabbit out of his ass and win this Series, I will put him in the conversation with Jordan.

But, he won't.

Good point Mecca- and to a certain extent- i can eat some crow and say Iggy played better D than I thought he could at this point in his carrer- having said that- I mean- LeBron did score 44 right? its a testament to JAmes' greatness that we could honestly talk about how Iggy did a decent job when LeBron went for 44- obviously not all those were from Iggy- but Iggy did play 32 minutes I believe and was on James almost the entire time he was in.

If the Cavs are going to have a chance the role players are going to have to show up. I was a little worried about Jr in this series because the Warriors have multiple defenders and Klay can cover him- and JR was playing pretty free with confidence and I think that had a lot to do with the fact the Cavs were fairly heavy favorites in their own minds in the last two series- and in this series I think they knew going into it they would HAVE to play well.....that knowledge that he HAD to play well might have gotten to Smith a little bit in my opinion.

It was clear the Warriors for the most part were not doubling James and just staying home on the shooters. Over a series LeBron will get very tired doing what he did last game- all though the days off in between games certainly help.

I have a bad feeling about game 2 in that Golden State will have gotten the jitters out and will be playing with confidence.

In game 1 the Cavs needed another offensive player. A lineup of Kyrie, Shumpert, LeBron, Thompson, Love I think would give the Warriors some problems- but it was not to be. Gotta roll with what ya got.

What a freaking beautiful day here. i gotta get out and do something physical after sitting in an offfense all freaking week. Take it easy everyone.

It's absolutely a testament to how good Lebron is. The very fact that people are saying the Cavs any chance at all, no matter how slim, is a testament to how good Lebron is.

Much of the damage Lebron did was when he was covered by Barnes. He still scored against Iggy (he's gonna get his point no matter what), but he was far less efficient when Iggy was guarding him.

He did a good job, but remember all through his career he was starting. He is coming off the bench, fresh legs. (Still trying to figure out how they have this guy off the bench lol) And it's one game but Lebron still got his but Iggy contributed offensively more than anything. Good game overall by him

yeah, BronBron's gonna get his. having said that, if he's the only one i'm guessing the Warriors aren't gonna have a problem with that...

Yeah, it was a hell of a game.

Iggy off the bench is a luxury.

Barbosa was awful...lol

I thought the Cavs had it after Kyrie stuffed Curry.

They were within millimeters with that Shumpert shot at the end. If that goes in everyone is ragging Kerr for letting LeBron run wild, wondering if the Ws can win the series, etc. Also Kyrie is maybe healthy. Game of half-inches.

LeBron and the Cavs have nothing to hang their heads over, great season for them.

Yeah, Lebron is a grown ass man.

I think Klay stepped up.

But, so did Mozgov.

That travelling call was...unfortunate.

I thought it was a horrible call.

But, it's not why they lost.

They crumbled like a cookie in overtime.

Bron has to be on the floor for them to be successful now that Kyrie is out.

I mean, who else can create for others or even get their own shot?

Tristan was a monster on the offensive boards.

I hate to see Kyrie out.

But, shit happens.

Yeah, and that has to really sting for Cavs fans.

It was a good game.

Looked bad for the Warriors until Curry got cookin.

With his Theatrics :drama:, I expect them to show him hooked up to I.V's at halftime and they will have to bring out the defribulator after he colapses to the court after game 2 :rip:.
