Funnier yet, I'm reading the Kyrie injury thread and people are suggesting his minutes should be more monitored and he should have an X amount of games scheduled to just sit out and rest.
I'm not suggesting it's not a prudent plan, it's just ironic that the fan base now suggesting it is the same one that was all over the Heat/Wade for doing the exact same thing.
What probably should just happen in the NBA is that teams should look over the schedule and just schedule a couple blocks of 3-4 games off for certain players and just announce it.
Example, season starts in end of October.
Let James play through Thanksgiving and then know he is resting Dec 1-6 ( road trip with 4 games is 6 nights).
Then, they get the extended all star break.
Then, maybe another short break somewhere else.
It would be nothing etched in stone, but then the league, people buying road game tickets for a high price, would have nothing to bitch about.
