If this current Cavs team was a movie it would be the Godfather Part II and we would be through the first 10 minutes with a young Pacino (Ky) and Deniro (Love) led by the God father- Marlon Brando (Bron)

If the current Heat were a movie it would be a B-movie slasher flick with an over the hill Nicholas Cage (Riley) trying to produce, and direct starring Mickey Rourke (the guy on his 2nd chance like Whiteside).

If the current Lakers were a movie it would be something directed by Frank Stallone (Jim Buss: nepotism at its finest), star lindsay lohan (used to be hot- now is a mess) and go straight to video.

just relax Cavs fans...and enjoy the show.

well, seems someone is trying to get his hate on for the Lakers AND the Heat. talk about the movies all you like, but at least BOTH of those franchises have something to show off in their trophy cases...

the people that questioned Kyrie's injury and heart are looking pretty stupid now- that is for sure.

The people who think that this injury is related to his earlier injury are even looking much more stupid.

And, remember yesterday when I said I wasnt sure if I'd rather have Kyrie or Dragic?

I do now. You can keep your broke down 'young' Kyrie aka Derek Rose II moving forward.

One more season of this and LeBolt will be LeGone.

When he signs that huge 2016 contract, it's likely his last.
Doubt he wastes his remaining years in that hole.

He'll send his kid to some elite basketball high school and use that as his excuse to leave.

You know how sometimes producers make movies with different endings?

Well, often the Heat or Lakers movies end in a championship parade.

Cleveland anything movies always end like The Titantic.

Keep thinking that making the Finals year after year after year are etched in stone.
You're in for a rude awakening.

And WHY you think this group of players is so great is beyond my comprehension.
James yes. The rest not so much, and the top ones are about to r*pe your salary cap.
All future assets have already been traded.
What's your next move?

Thing that Wiggy doesn't understand is the big picture. There's 4 key pieces in Cleveland right now:

1) Lebron: He'll be 31 later this year. The minutes he's logged this far in his career makes Kobe's look ridiculous (played in the last 5 finals, many 7-game series on top of it). You have to question when his body will start to slow down.
2) Kevin Love: He's had freak injuries, but I don't know if I'd call him injury prone ala Derrick Rose. You don't know whether he's staying or leaving to LA or another big market team like the Knicks.
3) Tristan Thompson: He's going to command north of $15 mil per year. I'm not sure I'd want to pay this for a good defensive PF that's a great rebounder, but limited scorer.
4) Kyrie Irving: Wade has his injury issues, and Heat fans will not argue with you on that. But Kyrie's 23 years of age and has a laundry list of injuries sustained in his career that matches that of Wade's, and is short on the critical list of Rose's. His injury history may be what leads to Decision 3.

Miami may have been in the lottery this year, and the Lakers the last 2 years. Difference being, both franchises will get back on their feet in the next couple of years, and won't need draft luck like the Cavs have had since Lebron left that shit hole of a city the first time.

Also, Shane, bro you were rocking the Heat when Lebron left. The only poster on this board that was transparent about their reasoning in switching teams was gordontrue. At least that man's honest about it.

ehhhhh what? dude.....i have seen some mighty dumb things on message boards before....I might have even posted one or two in retrospect....but this comment has to take the cake. I hope there is some viable explanation for this comment like your coffee was spiked with acid by some barrista with an agenda. Holy shit man. Honestly- I just sat stunned at my computer after reading this comment. Just....wow is all i can say. I can say without reservation that if you think that- what little regard and credibility I might have ever had reading your comments is gone- not that you care- but in my personal opinion between your bitter Lebron rantings and pro Heat rantings (how a team that you say is so loaded was passed by the Celtics and Nets is another one) there was occasionally something that made sense- but after saying that its just gone man. I would put more credibility in financial advise from Antwawn Walker. lol If you can honestly say there is no link between Kyrie's knee injury throughout the playoffs and the death blow that came during over time than I have to seriously question your sobriety and sanity.

Oh and Wiggy, speaking of the 97 Indians, I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did...

UGHHHH...Jose fucking Mesa....what a nightmare.

I read Omar Vizquels book a long time ago when I was younger. He said that when he looked into Mesa's eyes before going out for the 9th that he knew Mesa would blow the save. Omar actually published this in his book. lol.....Mesa read it and was obviously furious and vowed to hit Omar with a pitch every time he faced him from then on and he follwed through with that promise.

"In his 2003 autobiography, Vizquel was critical of Mesa for blowing the World Series finale, and Mesa reacted by vowing to throw at Vizquel every time they were to meet on the field. He carried out his threat on three occasions, the third coming in last month's Giants-Rockies series in Colorado, earning Mesa a four-game suspension."

Vizquel writes about Mesa blowing Game 7: "The eyes of the world were focused on every move we made. Unfortunately, Jose's own eyes were vacant. Completely empty. Nobody home. You could almost see right through him. Not long after I looked into his vacant eyes, he blew the save and the Marlins tied the game."

After the book was published, Mesa was quoted as saying, "Even my little boy told me to get him. If I face him 10 more times, I'll hit him 10 times. I want to kill him."

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes. Saddened by the way I had to go out but it doesn't take away from being apart of a special playoff run with my brothers. Truly means a lot for all the support and love. I Gave it everything I had and have no regrets. I love this game no matter what and I'll be back soon. To my brothers: You already know what the deal is. And to Delly: "ICE it down del" *Big Perk voice *- Kyrie Irving

Get well soon Kyrie. This city appreciates the undeniable warrior like effort you displayed these last few weeks. It has been great watching such a special season and the promise of more to come is beyond exciting. What a great effort by this kid the entire season- he turned 23 in March and combined with LeBron's guidance he really took the leap this year from being a very good player with huge potential- to becoming one of the most special players in the league. At this time last year no one knew if Kyrie was going to be back and questioned his leadership. In the short time span of one year he had a great USA Basketball experience including going from being on the bubble for a roster spot - to MVP of the World Championships. LeBron decided that he would come back to Cleveland and found a sidekick that he can run with for the rest of his career. These playoffs and last summers Worlds will have a profound effect on Kyrie going forward and a huge role in transforming him from talented but at times inconsistent 22 year old- to one of the best to lace em up in the league. Get well soon- you will get at LEAST a few more cracks at it.

As for the Finals- the show must go on. Now that we finally have some closure on Kyrie's status- and all the pressure has been lifted off LeBron's and his teammates shoulders maybe they can make a series out of it.....who knows....what a story it would be. JA Adande wrote a pretty on point article yesterday...

There is only upside left for him: If the Cavaliers lose, you can't pin this on LeBron. But if the Warriors remain intact and the Cavaliers win, it will be one of the greatest achievements in the history of the NBA. They'd have to make an extra Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP trophy for LeBron, as well as an additional ring, because this would count as double.

Maybe the Cavs will play loose and fearless now that they have nothing to lose and are playing with house money. Cannot wait to see what is in store for Game 2!:hope:

Yesterday afternoon I had to make a 4 hour road trip for an event this weekend.
I had the NBA channel fron satellite radio on.
They were obviously talking about Kyrie.
They said that him banging knees and cracking his kneecap had absolutely nothing to do with his prior tendinitis.
So what I wrote was not my opinion, because obviously I personally would have no idea if it was related.
It's what what reported by radio broadcasters.
I'm not in the business of just making shit up.

Is someone saying THEY were wrong?

There's a lot more then 1 thing that fool doesn't understand.
I just clicked on 3 links about the Kyrie injury, and all 3 said the tendinitis was unrelated to the cracked kneecap.
Also said him playing 43 minutes ( not bad for someone needing the purple heart according to him) played no role.

Hey Wiggy, maybe do some research before calling me out with your outrageous, long winded, dramatic posts?

They, for now, have James...so I won't say they ever don't have a chance..but:

1. He's not getting any younger, he's not getting any better..so any time you make the Finals and lose, it is one less opportunity. Nothing is guaranteed. Injuries happen on any play, to any player. So far James has defied those odds. Doesn't mean he will continue to.

2. Cavs fans wanting to bank on Kyrie being around for games 83-100 of any season should have about the same faith Heat fans did/do in Wade. Age means nothing. Some bodies just cannot handle the pounding. He appears to have one of those bodies and his style of play goes hand in hand with players who have chronic knee issues.

3. The rest of the roster is ok, but absolutely nothing special. Cavs assets are already depleted and they have several players in line for raises. The cheap, ring chasing veteran FA like Marion, Miller, Perk just occupy bench space. Jones had a decent season but put up a goose egg in 17 minutes on Thursday. In other words, they aren't really worth a shit.

I agree 100%. I was getting so sick of it. If he was hurting so bad don't play. He looked fine in game 1, looked fine when he came back in the Atlanta series and looked good in the Bulls series(except for 1-2 games).

He said he looked good and played in a meaningless game showing he was good to go for the finals. He never questioned the actual injury. This cracked knee cap is a new injury that could have just as easily happened if his knee had been completely healthy.

So, as usual, you're making shit up again and proving yourself to be the biggest idiot on the boards. You should just leave while you still have the choice to do so voluntarily. You're not wanted here. Why do you continue to post?

My biggest concern with the Cavs' Kyrie Irving going down is that the general consensus is Cleveland has become enormous underdogs - and along with that comes a sense of having absolutely nothing to lose because the series, in many minds, is already over. Throw in the fact that one of the players on this extreme underdog team is named LeBron James. I sure hope the Warriors don't go to sleep, because they still have a lot of basketball to play against a formidable opponent. Stay alert and on your game, Golden State!
