so imagine the same scenario, except the goalies entire arm is shot-momentum-pulled behind the line, and his glove is touching the back netting.

does the inability to see the puck form the overhead mean you can't conclude it's a goal ?

Yes, The rule CLEARLY says the off ice official must see the PUCK in the net. No matter how much sense that makes or not that is the rule.

I'm aware. Does the rule say that it (sight) must be achieved in a single camera angle ?

I didn't write the rule book, buddy. And no angle was conclusive, otherwise it would have counted

Can't find the video, but I'm pretty sure Ryan Whitney's first career goal was that exact scenario, and they called it good. You couldn't see the puck over the line, but the glove was over the line.

It is a bullshit rule, I've been on your end plenty of times. It is a rule though, and there's nothing to be disputed.

It must be seen in the net. If it's one camera, two or three they must see the puck in the net.

so

1) front angle shows puck in goalie glove mesh netting entirety of catch

2) overhead angle and in-net angle show entirety of netting passes behind goalline and post due to shot momentum

3) connect dots ?

4) "seen in the net" are you sure you want to argue that? tons of goals reviewed and scored that never touched ANY net.

Then that call was incorrect. TRUST ME, I've had this discussion many times and the rule says they must see the damn puck in the net. I'm not saying I totally agree but that is the way the rule is written.
