What disappointments emerged from the Washington Commanders' grind-it-out victory at the Atlanta Falcons in Week 6?

Brown’s came on the first drive of the game and it was a difficult catch in part because one of his arms was being held. But this is the second straight week he has been unable to make a big play when it was there for him.

Dotson’s was more egregious. It was an outright drop on a play that may have resulted in a touchdown. Though he did draw a holding call later, Dotson was invisible for most of the game.

This appears to be causing Sam Howell to become overly reliant on McLaurin.

The Commanders have Saahdiq Charles, Nick Gates, and Sam Cosmi playing the interior of the offensive line. It’s not as if they have been terrible. But power blocking simply is not their strength.

They are three men who all played tackle in college. Charles is the shortest at 6-foot-4. They are tall linemen who move well. None is a particularly good mauler in the trenches and that is showing up on running plays.

The trio gets virtually no push. They rarely get to the second level. The middle is generally closed to Commanders' ball carriers.

The Commanders keep making opponents look so much better than they actually are.

I happen to agree with dean on this one……. but am definitely not mad at the refs for missing the PI on the last play.

Like others have said, karma’s a motherfracker.

I’m not mad at the giants being 1-5 either. Though the game WILL be close, and lets be honest - unless we are in the middle of our patented 3 game win streak to instill hope before failing spectacularly as is the commanders nature - the Giants SHOULD lose badly to the commanders given the different talent levels.

They wont though. Just like the Bears, this is a “likely to be embarrassing” game.

Maybe Dotson is banged up. I still think he'll be alright. He didn't lose the attributes, great hands, great route running, big play ability, that's he had coming out of Penn St and last year with the Skins. Maybe its taking longer for him n Howell to get in tune with one another. It happens

Can't say I feel as confident about Forbes. If he's not hurt him not playing a down yesterday is concerning. Making him the team's #1 CB w/o having to reallhy earn it might have been a little extreme, but not playing him at all would be more extreme imo. Or maybe dad, Country and others were on point that he was a bad pick. Time will tell.

I'm more concerned with who determines who plays because Hudson showed in preseason he earned PT and has not got it. The defense looks like chit and only one person makes the decision on who plays and who doesn't. We have far too much talent to be this bad and unorganized on defense. If we actually had a top 10 defense (which we should) we would likely be 5-1 worse case 4-2. So let's keep playing that bend but don't break or "catch" defense while other talented defenses play with their collective hair on fire style of play.

I think you if you d played football and if you do you know zone is meant to make you go downfield a little at a time banking on you screwing up at some point. Explosives kill you. Why were we playing so much man before Sunday?

Jack's played a lot of football, coached it too. His defense looks like total crap! I can no longer give his crap a pass. Zone/man, it doesn't f'n matter, results matter and given the talent, he is failing.

Taylor is awful. Sure athletic but the offense is limited. Barkley is the guy.

He isn't awful....he is a better game manager than Jones and doesn't turn the ball over like him.
