I listened to Gruden's post game presser. In it he stated that the reason why he replaced Keenum was because he felt that "Case wasn't healthy enough." That actually sounds as if the plan is to start a more healthy Keenum rather than Haskins. Right now I'm betting that either Case and/or Colt get the first team reps this week. In fact, if Colt is healthy, Haskins will probably be inactive at worse or unprepared to go in when/if the starter is pulled or injured.
If Gruden is making that decision, it means he is still the HC. Which means it makes no difference. Haskins will be the permanent starter the day after gruden is fired.

I suspected my 5-11 season prediction was unrealistic when I made it.

I guess over throwing Quinn twice for 2 Td's doesn't warrant a benching when we draft a QB in the first round? Wow this guy is clueless. matter a fact CK has missed wide open WR's for Td's at least once in every game this year. The fact they could go back to him or even start Colt is crazy. We are not a playoff team so what is the point in starting a veteran QB?

I understood the decision to go with CK after the pre season. Now its a different story.

I was for protecting the kid but now that he has played I am for letting him play the string out. I didn't want to draft a QB this year so lets see if he has the goods or not. If he does then GREAT, if not … I am not against drafting one next year.

When I ventured into the sit him waters, my focus was on the QB's coach and what he might be able to do in order to get him ready for the NFL game. Of course do the mental and film work work, but include some first team reps at practice. I don't want to hear that BS about there being no time, he's the possible future, and the real time back-up QB, make the farkin' time!

Thus far we know that he's no closer to being "ready" than the day that he was drafted. It's clear to me that his physical readiness has been stunted by design, or ignorance.

So, let's say that they do draft a QB next year, what makes you believe that this or the next regime would get that kid prepared for the NFL game?

We aren’t losing because of the name

...And you know this because of what? Bad Karma doesn't just come from poorly executed X's and O's. Disorganization also comes with not recognizing everything that stinks in the company and ignoring it. People can disagree but that changes nothing but keep this in mind, failing to do the right thing, always comes back to bite you in the ass. Snyder is getting bitten in the ass and the worse thing about it is that he refuses to acknowledge it.

I just wanted to respond and won't go on with this because in truth it belongs in the now defunct "Politics Thread!"

The clock is also ticking away as Haskins gets zero first team reps and will have to be "ready" to go whenever that might be. His growth is being sacrificed in favor of Gruden's reliance upon Case or Colt to win now. The irony in a plan like that is... had he truly concentrated his efforts on getting Haskins "ready" that might have given him a much better chance to win now and save his job.

Finlay: Dwayne Haskins should not start for Redskins if he's not ready

Play the guy if he is that mentally weak then he is a bust

"Not ready" has NOTHING to do with his mental toughness period! We all knew when he was drafted that he was a baller. He was/ is a film study guru and rarely makes the same mistake twice because he also learns what not to do. Getting him "ready" had everything to do with preparing him for NFL speed and being familiar with the nuances in NFL defenses. This shit isn't rocket science, we know he has the physical tools, we know that he came from a big time program that has faced the best competition the country has to offer. The NFL is a different animal, get him familiar with that animal then turn him loose. It's just not that difficult, unless there's some funky shit going on.

My point is if he can’t recover from learning processes he is a bust period. I think he can

Let's not play the depends on who game. There's ONLY one owner of this franchise and we all know that he's proud of one of the things that's contributing to the bad Karma that covers his franchise. He refuses to change it...Fuck him!

So, let's say that they do draft a QB next year, what makes you believe that this or the next regime would get that kid prepared for the NFL game?

Going into this past years draft I did not want to spend a 1st round draft pick on any of the QBs available. I wanted an OLB which we got. My idea was to draft a QB in round 3-5 and then look for a No. 1 next year in a better QB class. Since Haskin's has played I recommend playing him every game to see if he was worth a first round pick. He showed arm talent in the preseason, he made a couple of big plays in preseason, he was also to diagnose in preseason. He held the ball and was slow to diagnose yesterday. I am not saying he can't get better but the seal has been cracked so lets play him now. It looks like the Skins are going to have a very high draft choice. If that is the case then they should be open to a guy who has even better QB potential if Haskins does not improve. He may very well improve. If he does then you can use that 1st on another position. Nothing yesterday sold me on he was close or Case is anything more than what I thought before. That was a Giants defense that was averaging giving up over 300 yards per game before yesterday. I will say this, Haskin's 32.8% QB rating was almost 10 points higher than Keenum's and that was with three times as many picks.
