Giants' Andre Brown diagnosed with concussion, Ramses Barden cleared to practice | NJ.com

Coughlin said he wasn't sure if wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot/knee) would practice this week until he gathered more information. He did, however, confirm that Nicks underwent an MRI on the knee, but wouldn't elaborate on if any structural damage was revealed. Nicks has missed the last two games with the combination of injuries.

* * * *

Martellus Bennett played through a hyperextended left knee for much of Sunday and Coughlin said the tight end would undergo more tests today to determine the extent of the injury. Bennett caught three passes for 30 yards and aided in Ahmad Bradshaw's 200-yard rushing day with effective blocking.

for now, prefer they don't say anything along these lines in public? just practice, focus on the game plan, and execute.

even if we do win, won't bring the Lombardi.

Culliver has the right 'tude....

Despite the heated rivalry between the two teams, Culliver said he’s going to approach this game like any other.

“I know everybody’s talking about the NFC Championship,” Culliver said. “But we have different people, they have different people. We’re going to go out there and give it our all, we’re not going to go out there and lay down for nobody.

“They played a good game last year, but that was last year. They’re doing well and we’re doing well. We’ll see who wins at the end of the game on Sunday.”

and much credit to Baalke and scouting staff for drafting Culliver. while i DO expect 3rd rounders to be come eventual 'starter' quality, Culliver has progressed quickly.

Not trying to down play or justify what Kyle said but it's hard not to have a chip on your shoulder and be quiet about it when all off season, a lot of fans have been calling for his head for the 2 TO in the NFCC game

yes, it is understandable, but does he need to do it in public before the game? does Alex Smith need to say in public before the game? i'm pretty sure EVERY NFL fan in America knows about last year's game.

just PREFER they don't do this, sorry if this is reading like "a big deal"? we've read worse.

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Week 5 DVOA Ratings

The DVOA gap between the 49ers and the No. 2 Houston Texans is larger than the gap between the Texans and No. 10 Seattle.

-----

Forty-four of 75 games so far this year have finished with scores within a touchdown (eight points). That's 59 percent; the only other year since 1994 that was over 55 percent was 1999 at 63 percent.

-----

And we've got two different 2-3 teams in the top ten: Green Bay and Denver. I went back and looked, and Green Bay and Denver are two of the best 2-3 teams we've ever encountered.

If everyone knows, why does it matter if they talk about it? This idea that it will further motivate the Giants is offensive to the Giants. If Smith and KW kept quiet would the Giants come out at 85%, but because of these comments they'll amp it up to 100%?
