I don't think that preseason rankings and rankings at the time of the game are compareable, just as rankings at the time of the game and current rankings aren't. However, I do think that an opponents rank at the time they are played does matter.

Take South Carolina for instance, Georgia played them (and got whooped) when they were healthy and ranked 6th in the Nation. They couldn't maintain that rank because of injuries, but at the time of the game they were deserving of their it - I believe.

I think we are arguing over semantics and other BS here.

Bottom line is, if UGA doesn't deserve their rank then who does?
