If he would have stuck to this style, he might have made my top 15 list for all time male country singers. He was great in the 80's, good in the 90's then stopped trying after 2000.

That would actually rank number 11 on my list. Great song, but it's one that still gets played very regularly and I've heard probably once a day for as long as I can remember so I guess I'm just a bit too burned out of that one to rank it in my top 10.

It's Ok, might make the top 25, but definitely not number 1. It didn't slip my mind at all, I just don't think it's worthy of being mentioned in the same post as the 10 songs I posted.

I'm just getting into listening to classic country as an adult so its a bit different for me because I haven't grown up with any of it. I saw the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band play for free last July 4th and I generally gravitate towards music like that.
