Detroit is a ghost town, no one lives there. And with all the gunfire in those neighborhoods, the fireworks will sound like the normal nightly stuff.

Mota actually did a good job. 3 runs in 3 innings but garbage time is hard to pitch effectively in. Nice horse work.

Haha. I grew up in Anaheim. The Disneyland fireworks would go off, the dogs would bark, and nobody would even notice. Fast forward to 2011: you hear a gunshot, and you're not sure if it's Disneyland or another gang shooting.

Zito and he really saved the pen...after a delay like that Zito could have said no mas, especially on short rest

Nice thread guys. Just got in myself, listened to the post-game wrap in the car, the wife couldn't believe the Giants scored 15 runs - I said that's like a 100 hundred run game for any other team.

BTW, the Giants lead the division in run differential now. +14

Can't remember which it was, Neyer or Law, writing a few weeks ago that the Giants had no chance because of their negative run differential. I predict, which ever the one it was, will now jump through some statistical gymnastics to throw-out this game's results to once again discount the possibility of Giants continued success.
