Scherzer sucks balls today....the fight was Klitschko beating the crap out of a loudmouth Brit named Haye....

Oh yeah. i remember seeing a pre-fight interview a few days ago. I was almost interested and then I remembered that heavyweight boxing hasn't been interesting since Buster Douglas toppled Mike Tyson more than 20 years ago.

Absolutely shocking that 22 is not retired.

Can somebody help me with this logic?

I just tell myself that the Giants don't want anyone thinking that they retired the number for Jack, considering how much he whined about hating Candlestick and moped his way out of town.

I know it's not accurate, but until I get a better answer, that's what I am going to continue to believe.

As good a reason as any other...

But it has been almost 20 years since he played for the Gs. At some point, you gotta figure it will never happen.

Is it just me, or does Jhonny Peralta have a perfectly round face like a balloon? dude looks like he got stung by a bee as a kid and the swelling just never went away.

If Zito gives up a hit every inning and erases that mistake on a double play, I won't argue.

Tejada picking it at 3rd!

That, occasional power, and a .260 batting avg is all I ask

The guys on the MLB network last night were talking about the Tigers top 2, saying that Verlander and Scherzer have the Tigers set for years to come. I was screaming at the TV saying that Scherzer has stuff, but no consistency. Nothing I've seen here tonight is going to change my mind.

Damn. This rain better pass quickly. 6 runs in 3 innings cannot go to waste.

According to weather.com, the rain may stick around for an hour or so, but it looks like it's going to pass in time for the game to continue tonight. If they take the tarps off the field, I have a feeling that Scherzer will not be back out to continue the game.

If the game IS called, isn't the game continued at a later date, or is started from scratch?

I wonder that myself. I think if it's before the 5th, it's cancelled :-)sad:)

But if it's tied after the 5th they have to complete it by continuing later...

Do I have that right?

I'm glad to hear a couple of posts above that maybe only a delay. Since the Giants obviously don't play the Tigs again after this series, I'd think they'd be extra careful not to have to do a makeup game.

No. The only way a game is continued at a later date is if the game has gone at least 5 innings and the score is tied when the game is called.

This game, because it has not gone the required 5 innings, would be erased as if all the at-bats never happened.
